Canadian School Refuses to Allow Gay-Straight Alliances in Defiance of Government

There is not much that Canadian schools are doing that leftist do not want in our school systems. They are open and encouraging to sodomy. They are run entirely by secular humanists. They are dependent on outside funding.

Most of these things are true in America, but there is still some control at the local level and money from county residents is still a large part of our schools’ budget. But, this is the direction we are headed. So when we hear about a freedom of religion conflict in Canadian schools, Americans should pay attention.

There is one happening right now.

Christian News reports:

A Canadian pastor is standing firm after being ordered to allow gay-straight alliances to be formed at his Christian schools.

According to reports, on Sept. 2, Alberta Education Minister David Eggen sent a letter to Brian Coldwell, the chairman of the Independent Baptist Christian Education Society and pastor of New Testament Baptist Church, to demand that he allow the alliances at his two schools as per provincial law.

Coldwell runs Meadows Baptist Academy and Harvest Baptist Academy
in Parkland County.

Now, I am very glad that Coldwell is willing to take a stand against this ungodliness. I do not wish to sound as if I am not praying that he wins this fight. But, he has caused most of his own problems. You see, his schools have taken government money. Of course, they want to determine how their money is spent. And they may be soon asking for their money back.

Christian News continues:

Eggen has now launched a formal inquiry into the Independent Baptist Christian Education Society. He said that the society could possibly lose its charter or the $2.5 million in funding it receives from the government.

Hopefully, Coldwell will be able to write them a check and stay open. At any rate, this, I hope, teaches this school and others like it that it is not wise to allow Caesar or his money in your school.
