He’s a former member of a racist hate group, who has been accused of abuse by two women, so of course, he got 82% of DFL support.

The Minnesota DFL Party overwhelmingly voted Saturday to put its support behind Keith Ellison despite the domestic abuse allegation that has clouded his bid for state attorney general.

Ellison, who handily won Tuesday’s primary election, won over 82 percent of the delegates voting at the DFL state executive committee meeting

That’s Democrat-Farmer-Labor. The delegates are only one of three of those things. They also have the conscience of weasels.

In his speech to a packed auditorium, Ellison again denied abusing ex-girlfriend Karen Monahan

Not to mention, Amy Alexander, whom he denied abusing or having a relationship with back when the former Nation of Islam member was still married, to his wife, who took the fall for his campaign finance violations on account of her multiple sclerosis. Ellison later divorced her.

He’s a real caliph of a guy.

Earlier Saturday, about a dozen protesters gathered outside Cambridge-Isanti High School before the meeting, shouting “Ellison beats women.”

Come on guys, it’s his religion.

DFL Party Chair Ken Martin quickly voiced support for Ellison as he sought to rally around the party’s candidates with just 80 days until Election Day.

Later, Martin released a statement in support of Ellison. “As Attorney General, Keith will be a champion for families and fight to hold powerful interests accountable,” it said, in part.

It takes a real alleged champion for families to allegedly beat women.

So how is Keith Ellison going to fight for families?

Speaking to delegates before the vote, Ellison also sought to cast his Republican opponent, Doug Wardlow, as a candidate bent on stripping women’s reproductive rights

If you support abortion, vote for the domestic abuser.

I can’t wait for this feminist campaign.
