Joy After Jihad: Iraq & Syria Show ISIS Something They Never Wanted To See – Christmas
For the last couple of years, the world has watched in ever-growing horror as the villains at ISIS went about their terrible work. We watched as the daily found new ways to torture and murder their subjects. We watched as their army, whose ranks were filled with the foreign-born, marched across the Middle East wreaking havoc and beating back the armies of Iraq and Syria. We watched in horror and we wondered if/how we could ever defeat such evil men so wholly bent on destruction.
But then, we began to win. Soon, ISIS in Iraq and Syria were all but eliminated and their leaders forced to flee for other, safer war zones in the Muslim world.
While our enemy may seem powerful, because they are, we must always remember that we fight on the side of angels and evil cannot ultimately win. They may win a battle here and there, but as Mahatma Mohandas Gandhi once said, “When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it–always.”

ISIS has proven this theory once again. How? The radical Islamic terrorists who attempted to form a government, build a new nation (caliphate), and commit genocide against the Christians (and other minority groups) living within ‘their’ borders failed in their dastardly mission.
Look at what happened in Iraq and Syria this Christmas…

Let this be a reminder for us. We must always stand against evil, even when the odds seem insurmountable.
One of the lessons of Christmas is that evil cannot triumph, even when victory seems impossible, when all we have is hope… evil cannot win the ultimate victory.
We must stand and fight, because we will win.
