Nancy Pelosi Mocks Republicans for Constantly Losing Negotiations
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi spoke to The Washington Post and mocked Republicans saying that Democrats “ate their lunch” in the big negotiations this year, and it’s basically true.
“Even though they had the signature and two majorities, we ate their lunch,” Pelosi boasted in her interview with The Post on Sunday. “That’s what we do.”
Pelosi claims to be a “master legislator,” but she’s basically a master deceiver.
“I am a master legislator. I just love it,” Pelosi said. “I consider myself a weaver, like I have a loom. And I bring all these different threads together.”
This is the same woman that told America we had to pass Obamacare to find out what was in it, but then when House Speaker Paul Ryan put up Obamacare 2.0, she opined, “The American people and Members have a right to know the full impact of this legislation before any vote in Committee or by the whole House.”
Now, don’t get me wrong, I agree with her on that last comment. We have a right to know and every representative has not only a right, but duty to know what is in every single piece of legislation that comes before them.
Pelosi has opposed virtually everything the Republicans have put forward, including any attempts at repealing certain portions of Obamacare to the building of the southern border wall. Of course, she also opposes those cuts to socialist welfare programs like Medicaid.
However, the truth is that Democrats simply did what they always do because in most cases, they are not constitutionally minded. The reality is that it was RINOS (Republicans in name only) that failed to pass the agenda of the people who put them in office.
They utterly failed to repeal Obamacare. They don’t even have a clue as to what that would look like, and any sort of replacement should be rejected by them as well.
However, Pelosi was at the forefront in rendering a victory for Democrats in not funding the border wall in the budget agreement, which is something that President Donald Trump promised would get done during his time in office.
Although Republicans weren’t excited about the budget deal, it was passed, in large part, to avoid a government shutdown.
That deal with fund DC through December 15, and then we’ll have another round of political grandstanding and don’t be surprised if a lot of unconstitutional spending isn’t inserted to the next deal.
Of course, both sides will claim victory no matter what, but it will be the American people losing on that front.
Pelosi shot back at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who claimed the budget deal was not a bit deal.
“He was trying to pin a rose on it, poor baby,” Pelosi told The Post. “We now have more leverage.”
However, instead of Pelosi focusing on what her job actually is and doing it, something she cannot do since she does not even understand the Constitution that she claims to uphold, she’s out fundraising for Democrats.
She’s raised $38.9 million for House Democrats, according to The Post.
Never let a good crisis go to waste, eh?
