No Surprise Here: Senator Joe Manchin Took $87,000 from Pro-Gun Confiscation Law Firm

Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) is coming under scrutiny again after quarterly filings show that I received $87,000 from individuals tied to Paul, Weiss, a law firm that advances “laws” towards confiscation of guns.

Paul, Weiss has long been known for questionable tactics in defending terrorists and has a long standing connection to the Clinton crime family.

Some of the Islamic jihadis represented by Paul, Weiss were freed and many of them returned to engage in jihad terror.

One of its attorneys represented both former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Cheryl Mills during the Benghazi investigation.

According to The Washington Times:

Mr. Manchin accepted donations totaling over $87,000 from people connected to the powerful Manhattan law firm with his total fundraising for the quarter coming in at $1.4 million.

In addition to representing terrorists, the firm has also joined a coalition of other law firms to promote gun control causes, according to the New York Times. Paul, Weiss joined several other top law firms in wake of the Orlando nightclub shooting last year to offer free legal services and donations to groups that work on such advocacy.

This issue is sure to go over poorly with Mr. Manchin’s constituents in West Virginia where more than 50 percent of households have guns, reports NPR.

Manchin claims that he doesn’t know where his money is coming from.

Awr Hawkins writes at Breitbart:

This news comes less than a month after Breitbart News reported that Manchin told The Young Turks‘ Cenk Uygur that he has no idea who gives him money.

Uygur pointed out that Manchin supported removing a “stream protection rule,” then explained that Manchin’s No. 1 donor, First Energy, had previously gotten into “in some degree of trouble for putting arsenic in a pond.”

Manchin responded, “I know it’s hard to believe and I know it’s hard for people too, [but] I don’t have any idea who gives me money. I don’t solicit from the standpoint of, ‘If you do this for me,’ quid quo pro, that’s never been me. That’s not my political mantra at all.”

The same Sen. Manchin who said these things when asked about First Energy may want to explain the donations tied to Paul, Weiss.

After all, Manchin was Barack Obama’s go-to-guy for gun control in the Senate–Manchin spearheaded the failed, post-Sandy Hook gun control push–and he pushed gun control again and again after high profile attacks since Sandy Hook.

Does anyone really believe that Senator Manchin doesn’t know who butters his bread?  I’m not buying it.

Senator Manchin had admitted taking lots of money from anti-Second Amendment Nanny Michael Bloomberg.

He also joined up with Senator Pat Tommey (R-PA) following Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah’s re-election to sell out the American people with regard to the rights of gun owners in a far worse fashion than Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) ever did.

Those two were compromising our freedoms.

However, fortunately, the American people were wide awake after the Sandy Hook incident and stood strong against more gun laws, and Manchin-Toomey suffered defeat.
