Raw Story Pitches a Mindless Fit After PayPal Restores Anti-Jihad Site’s Account

Raw Story declares, “‘Like pre-war Germany’: Islamaphobe Pam [sic]Geller throws a fit after PayPal boots her in white supremacist purge….” I am Jewish, morons.

Leftists are trying to drive conservatives off the web by pressuring hosting services, payment services like PayPal, and other companies that provide technical support on a more or less indiscriminate basis to web sites. They already have had considerable success in this regard. Their pretense that the campaign is directed only at “hate” sites is absurd. No rational person would put pamelageller.com, for example, in that category. John Hinderacker Powerline.

Heads are exploding on the left (can they do anything else?) after my Paypal ban tweet went viral – here’s just one:

It is exactly like pre-war Germany. The leftists and the socialists Germany didn’t just wake up one day and begin murdering en masse. It is a process. The process of demonizing and dehumanizing those with whom they disagree. The process of shutting down free speech.

Paypal reversed their decision after thousands and thousands of supporters took to social media to excoriate them. Bravo!

And the goosestepping smear merchants on the left are not happy.

David Edwards writes:

Pamela Geller, a blogger who is infamous for inciting hate against Muslims, cried foul this week after PayPal joined other tech companies in closing the accounts of white supremacists.

In a tweet on Monday, Geller revealed that PayPal had decided to ban her website, AtlasShrugs.com, “due to the nature of your activities.”

“We ask that you remove all references to PayPal from your site,” a letter from the company’s Brand Risk Management department instructed.

“PayPal banned me,” Geller complained. “It’s like pre-war Germany. Leftists run amok.”

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Geller is known for “her broad-brush denunciations of Islam” and other “preposterous claims.”

“Geller has mingled comfortably with European racists and fascists, spoken favorably of South African racists, defended Serbian war criminal Radovan Karadzic and denied the existence of Serbian concentration camps. She has taken a strong pro-Israel stance to the point of being sharply critical of Jewish liberals,” the Center notes in a profile of Geller.

Does anyone check the SPLC’s distortions and lies?

“Mingled comfortable with European racists and fascists”? Geert Wilders is neither.

“Spoken favorably of South African racists”? Where? I oppose racism. Period. White racism. Black racism. Either all racism is bad or all racism is acceptable.

“Denied the existence of Serbian concentration camps.” I denied the genocide of Muslims in Bosnia. Because there wasn’t a genocide. There was a war of Muslims against Christians, and the Muslim war crimes were just as egregious as the Serbs’. President Clinton got sucked into paving the way for militant Islam in Bosnia by intervening on behalf of Muslims in Bosnia.

I have repeatedly said quite clearly: “I am not defending Radovan Karadzic…”

“She has taken a strong pro-Israel stance to the point of being sharply critical of Jewish liberals…” Yes, I am critical of self-loathing Jews.

Indeed.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Geller is known for “her broad-brush denunciations of Islam” and other “preposterous claims.”

“Preposterous”? There have been tens of thousands of jihad attacks since 9/11. What is preposterous is the denial of the jihad motive.

Through her website, Geller has promulgated some of the most bizarre conspiracy theories found on the extreme right, including claims that President Obama is the love child of Malcolm X,

Actually, this statement from Pamela Geller heads the actual post in question: “The ‘Atlas says that Barack Obama is Malcolm X’s love child’ charge has gone viral among leftards and lizards. The only problem with it is that it is false. I am not the author of this post, and I posted it because the writer did a spectacular job documenting Obama’s many connections with the Far Left. The Malcolm X claim is one minor part of this story, and was of interest to me principally as part of the writer’s documentation that Stanley Ann Dunham could not have been where the Obama camp says she was at various times. I do not believe that Barack Obama is Malcolm X’s love child, and never did — but there remain many, many unanswered questions about his early life and upbringing.”

that Obama was once involved with a “crack whore,”

Actually, in that post, I was making a point about journalistic bias, noting that liberal journalists do not hunt down unsubstantiated rumors about liberal candidates such as Obama with anything approaching the zeal they bring to investigations of rumors about conservatives.

[..]

Geller’s anti-Muslim stance has also drawn the admiration of white nationalist and even neo-Nazi proponents on the extreme right – a rather remarkable feat, considering she is Jewish. She has been the subject of positive postings on racist websites such as Stormfront, VDARE, American Renaissance and the neo-Confederate League of the South.

I am a proud Jew to lump me in with Nazis is specious and obscene. For well over a decade, Stormfront has posted the most vicious antisemitic comments about me with frequent use of the K word.

The Los Angeles Times reported this week that PayPal, Apple, Cloudflare and other tech giants were moving to stop doing business with white supremacist groups following the recent clashes between neo-Nazis, white supremacists and anti-fascist activists in Charlottesville, Virginia.

No, the ban came down after ProPublica posted a hit piece on me and my colleagues to ban from “PayPal, Amazon and Newsmax — from maintaining partnerships with Jihad Watch that help to sustain it financially. PayPal facilitates donations to the site. Newsmax — the online news network run by President Donald Trump’s close friend Chris Ruddy — pays Jihad Watch in return for users clicking on its headlines.”

“Tech companies have the legal right to terminate user accounts if those users violate their terms of service, according to legal experts, although many companies don’t often exercise those rights except in extreme circumstances because they are reluctant to police content and speech,” the Times noted.

But my transactions were unchanged for the past 10 years. There was nothing different in any of my transactions. The Paypal ban was completely arbitrary, capricious and totalitarian in its nature.

It goes on and on like this. More rebuttals to false charges here.

Who holds these sloppy destroyers to account? Who watches the watchman?
