Russia Blames U.S. for Russian Buzzing of U.S. Destroyer, Then Makes This Threat
We all like people to think that we are justified in our actions. Most times, we even can convince ourselves that what we did was right. But, there is something strange about what the Russians are doing. It seems that they want the world to believe that America is threatening them.
Fox reports:
Russia’s ambassador to NATO accused the U.S. Wednesday of trying to intimidate Moscow by sailing a Navy destroyer in the Baltic Sea, and vowed Russia would respond to future incidents with “all necessary measures.”
Grushko told reporters the USS Cook’s presence in the Baltic was a NATO attempt “to exercise military pressure on Russia”, then added, “we will take all necessary measures, precautions, to compensate for these attempts to use military force.”
He purports to believe that America has as a goal the intimidation of the Russian leadership. They claim that for some reason, the U.S. and/or NATO wish to flex their muscles. But what would this gain? Is it not that the Russians have been acting aggressively toward their neighbors?

In the past twelve months, I have reported several times that U.S. troops and maneuvers were used to show the Russian Federation that we meant to uphold our treaty obligations with their neighbors. America wanted Russia to understand that we would not stand by as they swallowed up our allies.
“NATO and Russia have profound and persistent differences,” NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, who chaired the council, told reporters afterward. “Today’s meeting didn’t change that.”
The two sides have vastly different goals. These goals are in opposition to one another. And with the slipping military might of the U.S. and Europe’s inability protect themselves from the Muslim invasion, such provocations seem warranted. Why would they not push us? We are spread thin and show no will to push back.
Bullies always push when you show a sign of weakness.
