Russia Fires Back At State Dept Over Criticism Of Disqualifying Presidential Candidate For Criminal History

The end of 2017 is upon us.  How long have US citizens dealt with Democrat claims of “Russians hacked the election,” “Trump colluded with Russians to win the election,” and “Russia hacked the DNC to help Trump win the election?”

We’ve dealt with these unfounded accusations for so long many of us become nauseated hearing the same old tripe, similar to looking at refrigerated moldy, smelly leftovers in containers you’d rather discard than open.

But, now it seems that the shoe is on the other foot of the US government as Russia has accused the State Department of “direct interference” in its election process.

According to The Hill:

A Moscow official said Tuesday that the State Department’s criticism of a ban on an opposition leader from running against Vladimir Putin in Russia’s upcoming presidential election constitutes “direct interference” in its electoral affairs.

“This State Department statement, which I’m sure will be repeated, is a direct interference in our electoral process and internal affairs,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a Facebook statement, according to Business Insider.

The State Department spokesperson said in a Tuesday statement that they were concerned over Russia’s “ongoing crackdown against independent voices, from journalists to civil society activists to opposition politicians,” Business Insider reported.

The statement comes after Russia’s Central Electoral Commission formally banned candidate Alexei Navalny last weekend from being listed on the ballot in the country’s upcoming presidential elections, citing a prior embezzlement conviction.

Business Insider reported:

In a statement shared with Business Insider on Tuesday night, a State Department spokesperson expressed concern over the Russian government’s “ongoing crackdown against independent voices, from journalists to civil society activists and opposition politicians.”

“These actions indicate the Russian government has failed to protect space in Russia for the exercise of human rights and fundamental freedoms,” the statement said. “More broadly, we urge the government of Russia to hold genuine elections that are transparent, fair, and free and that guarantee the free expression of the will of the people, consistent with its international human rights obligations.”

Zakharova pushed back. “And these people expressed outrage over alleged Russian ‘interference’ in their electoral process for an entire year?!” she said.

“The funniest thing is that these are the same people who just tagged RT and Sputnik as foreign agents, who are harassing Russian media around the world and who are investing huge amounts of money into ‘countering Russian propaganda,’ which is how they label anyone who they disagree with,” she wrote.

So, because the Russian Central Electoral Commission disqualified a candidate to run for their highest office because he was convicted on a previous embezzlement charge, the US State Department declares this an “ongoing crackdown against independent voices, ….”  Could it be that this disqualification of a candidate protects the Russian people from having criminals in critical elected positions that could harm an entire nation?  Not to the US State Department it doesn’t.  It has to be the silencing of oppositional voices by the government of Russia. Yet, the State Department had not one comment about the Hillary Clinton Campaign essentially taking over the DNC and stealing the primary from Bernie Sanders.

Unlike the united States, which sees criminals holding office, running for office and usurping office, the Russian election officials disqualified a convicted individual for embezzlement to even vie for political office – an office that would allow an individual to possibly embezzle the money of the Russian people.

More comical that opposing the disqualification by a sovereign nation of a criminal to seek public office is the statement made by our State Department.

These actions indicate the Russian government has failed to protect space in Russia for the exercise of human rights and fundamental freedoms.

This is a government agency inside the US government where that government seeks to uphold “Free Speech Zones,” “Constitutional Free Zones,” “violations of the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Amendments,” “violations of the right to privacy,” and the right of every US citizen to keep the fruits of their labors.

Pot, meet kettle.

More broadly, we urge the government of Russia to hold genuine elections that are transparent, fair, and free and that guarantee the free expression of the will of the people, consistent with its international human rights obligations.

Again, this comes from an agency inside our government where all States have bought into “electronic voting machines” that hide transparency in voting since there is no paper account or tally locally, but results are generated by a private entity.

These same voting machines have been proven to contain hidden algorithms whereby an individual with access can change those results at whim, by instruction from superiors or by predetermination.

Granted, our presidential elections are decided by the Electoral College;  however, the States determine how those electoral votes are placed based on popular vote.

Let’s not forget, the Constitution determines how both the president and vice-president are to be decided to avoid “popularity” contests [originally Article II, Section 1, paragraph 3, amended by the Twelfth Amendment].

But, by placing the presidential vote in the hands of the people through use of non-transparent electronic voting machines whereby votes are tallied by a “private entity” instead of the people, then, States mandating how their electoral votes are distributed according to the people’s vote, the two-party system and the government removed the qualifications of “transparent, fair, and free” from the equation when it comes to determining the individuals serving in these offices.  Clearly, this republic is not following its own set of rules.

Now, this is no way means the Russian government is not at fault for oppressing the people or engaging in human rights violations in the past or present;  they did and have.

But, should not an entity charged with vetting individuals seeking public office scrutinize their “fitness” for office?

Should not criminals be prevented from holding elected positions, especially a position where an individual could wreak havoc through embezzlement or by committing other crimes?

Any individual with common sense would agree that criminals have no place in seats of government.

Yet, our State Department condemns Russia for disqualifying a criminal from seeking office, while allowing a criminal that held a position in the State Department to remain unscathed.

All of this is based on the accuracy of information from the Russian agency charged with the integrity of Russian elections.

But, regardless of whether the information is true or false, what gives the US State Department any authority to chastise another sovereign nation’s election process or vetting process?

None, considering for the past year, the American people have heard from individuals in our government, particularly, the Democrats and intelligence community, the worn out rhetoric that Russia interfered in our presidential election without producing one iota of evidence to support their claim.

In fact, the criminals within the US government, some elected officials and former elected officials, paid to have false information concocted against the current president.

All the while, these same individuals have covered for the crimes of Hillary Clinton, Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Soebarkah, James Comey, Loretta Lynch, Bill Clinton, Eric Holder, Lois Lerner, John Koskinen, Debbie Wasserman Shultz, Donna Brazile, Janet Napolitano, John Brennan, and a partridge in a pear tree host of others.

Some of these crimes are so egregious it constitutes a constitutional crisis in this republic.

Republicans are not off the hook either.

The GOP has remained silent in the wake of criminal activity embedded deep within the Beltway;  some probably up to their neck in swamp mud themselves.

Yet, all of these “shady” characters have the audacity to “police” Russia, a foreign nation with a sovereign government, with their false sense of righteousness, while allowing countries like Saudi Arabia and Turkey, considered US allies, to engage in oppression, misogyny, slavery, and atrocious human rights violations without reproach and allowing our own criminals in government impunity.

The rules of our election of president and vice-president were changed without a constitutional amendment.

Moreover, as long as there was not a bump in the road, government criminals were contented to abide by the process.

However, Donald Trump entered the mix and both sides are eager to replace him by any means necessary.

These elected officials and government agencies seek to overturn the process they instituted to ensure they controlled the outcomes.

Now, they bash the Russian election integrity agency for doing almost the same thing, only this agency seeks to disqualify a criminal from seeking office.

After enduring all the posturing and rhetoric from sore losers in the US election process, unconstitutional as it is, and witnessing the fabrication of information against the current US president concerning Russia, Russia is firing back on actual statements made by our own State Department instead of posturing on baseless claims.

Well, they are right to do so.

Like Putin or not, the type of Russian government or not, at least the recognition that criminals do not belong in elected positions is one position with which many can agree.

Should it be found that the embezzlement conviction of the opposition candidate be false, neither the US government nor any entity within it has any authority to chastise or interfere in another sovereign nation’s election process.

Likewise, no other foreign government or entity within that foreign government has any authority to chastise or interfere in ours.
