Russian Ministry of Defense: Filming Of Staged Chemical Attack In Syria Has Begun
The Russian military is claiming that false flag footage of a staged chemical attack is being handed out to media outlets today. The footage is allegedly meant to serve as proof that the Syrian government has conducted a chemical weapons attack in Idlib, Syria.
According to RT, several Middle East TV channels and a United States news channel have been sent to Jisr al-Shughur in Syria’s Idlib Governorate to produce the footage needed for the provocation, a statement by the Russian Center for Syrian Reconciliation said.
It added the intelligence came from local residents of Jisr al-Shughur.
“All the footage of the staged provocation in Jisr al-Shughur is to be delivered to the newsrooms of TV channels, which are to broadcast it after its publication on social media,” the statement claimed.
False flags chemical attacks are nothing new, especially where the Syrian civil war is concerned.
The Russian military (Ministry of Defense or MoD) said the footage would include scenes of White Helmets operatives (propagandists) treating supposed victims of an apparent barrel bomb chemical weapon attack by Damascus.
Historically, these false flag attacks have been used by the West to justify dropping bombs and the ramping up war rhetoric.
The Russian military also said that an Islamist group was provided with two canisters of a “chlorine-based chemical” for the purpose of this false flag operation.
Moscow has repeatedly warned that a false flag chemical weapon attack was being prepared in Idlib, giving the US and its allies justification to attack Syrian government forces. Senior US officials have threatened Damascus with retaliationif it uses chemical weapons in Idlib and even preemptively assigned the blame for any such attack to the government. –RT
The Russian MoD has also said they have obtained “irrefutable” data that terrorist groups, including Jabhat an-Nusra, and the infamous propagandist White Helmets met in Idlib province on Sunday, according to the ministry’s spokesperson Igor Konashenkov.
The militants were said to be plotting the final scenarios for the chemical attacks that the Syrian army are expected to make in the cities of Jisr ash-Shugur, Serakab, Taftanaz and Sarmin, the Russian military revealed.
“Full readiness of all participants involved in the staging of the provocations is be ensured by the evening of September 8,” Konashenkov stated, according to RT.
He added that the terrorists are to receive a “special” signal from some “foreign friends of [the] Syrian revolution” to launch the operation.
