Still Unable To Find Evidence of Collusion, Mueller Will Try To Take Down Trump Over A One-Night Stand In 2006!
And why does it come at this particular time? Two reasons: First, Democrats needed a front-page, attention grabbing event to divert attention from the House Intelligence Committee’s very public battle with the FBI to obtain an unredacted copy of the EC that opened the Trump Investigation. And second, Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report will be released any day.
As the world now knows, on Monday, the FBI raided the office, home and hotel room of Michael Cohen, President Trump’s longtime personal attorney.
It is reported that the FBI was after records surrounding Michael Cohen’s $130,000 hush payment to former porn star Stormy Daniels, with whom Trump allegedly had a brief affair twelve years ago.
Why are liberals so consumed with a brief affair Trump may have had long before he took office? Since Mueller’s investigation doesn’t seem to be serving up much red meat, liberals are hoping to catch Trump in a lie. After all, Bill Clinton was impeached for a similar offense.
This was an extraordinary act and Robert Mueller has crossed a very dangerous line. Monday’s raid of Michael Cohen’s office, home and hotel has profoundly changed the relationship between the Special Counsel and the Trump Administration. It is the type of raid one might expect to see in Russia, not in America. All pretense of civility between the Trump Administration and the Special Counsel is gone. It can no longer be denied that Mueller and his minions are trying to take down President Trump. Like a frenzied attack dog who will not let go of its victim, Robert Mueller will not give up on finding something, anything, to pin on Donald Trump.
The type of search and seizure conducted on Monday is generally performed as a “last resort,” after all other reasonable attempts to obtain information have been exhausted. There is every indication that Cohen had been cooperating with members of Robert Mueller’s team.
Sean Hannity spoke to Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz last night. Both agree that Mueller has lost his perspective on this case. Mueller has lost sight of his objective and this case has become personal to him. Dershowitz believes that the FBI wants to turn Michael Cohen into a cooperating witness, something both he and Hannity doubt would ever happen.
This latest episode smacks of desperation. Are Republican’s getting too close to the truth? Does the FBI investigation’s opening EC show that the investigation was initiated for partisan reasons rather than over concern for our national security? We all remember FBI official Peter Strzok’s text to his paramour Lisa Page, “There’s no there, there.” Something contained in the redacted parts of that document either proves wrongdoing by officials of the FBI or is extraordinarily embarrassing to them.
Last weekend, there was tremendous media focus on this document, which was immediately diverted when Monday’s news of the raid on Michael Cohen’s office, home and hotel broke.
The deadline for the August 24, 2017 subpoena is Wednesday, April 11th.
Two actions should be taken if compliance to the subpoena is not met by the close of business. First, DOJ Deputy Attorney General Robert Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray should both be held in contempt of Congress.
And two, President Trump must exercise his presidential power and order the FBI to allow the members of the House Intelligence Committee to view the document.
If they still refuse to comply, fire whoever is responsible. And repeat this process until Nunes and the other members of the House Intelligence Committee have viewed an unredacted copy of the EC that started this national farce.
If Mueller has any evidence that Trump colluded with the Russians to get elected, he should present it now. If not, let’s end this travesty.
It’s time for Trump to act. I don’t understand his hesitation. He is the head of the Executive Branch of government. He has the power to order the FBI to turn over an unredacted copy of the EC. He needs to exercise that power. Mueller and his minions are trying to first, protect themselves and second, to take down Trump’s Presidency.
They can’t be allowed to get away with this. Which party is in power now anyway? If Republicans can’t get to the truth of the liberal conspiracy to torpedo Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential bid by the mid-term elections, it may never be exposed. The clock is ticking.
