AOC’s New Biography: “Just As White As The Rest Of Us”
The first full-length biography released last week about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) blows the lid off of her upper-middle class upbringing.
“Well, she’s just as white as the rest of us,” a resident of Yorktown Heights, New York, told author Peter D’Abrosca when asked about the sentiment shared by the town’s residents regarding AOC.
D’Abrosca travelled to New York for his research on AOC, visiting both the Bronx, where AOC claims to be from, and Yorktown Heights, where she actually grew up.

“It wasn’t until I actually visited that I realized the breadth of AOC’s exaggerations about her upbringing,” D’Abrosca writes his book, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Her Mysterious Rise from Bartender to Congresswoman.
The biography also explores AOC’s time between her college graduation and her congressional run, during which, D’Abrosca found, she did more than just tend bar in Manhattan. Rather, she was an upstart young capitalist who worked in private enterprise and had dreams of running her own business, raising major questions about whether AOC’s “Democratic Socialism” is just a political front.
The book also contains an exclusive interview with AOC’s spokesman, Corbin Trent, chronicles AOC’s shady campaign finance deals and the mysterious group that ran her campaign, and is packed with never-before-published information on the young political phenomenon.
