“Detective Of The Year” Busted In Child Sex Sting For Sending Sexually Explicit Messages
We are finding more and more pedophiles, but even worse is that they are in the ranks of those in positions of authority, including a California “Detective of the year,” who was recently busted in a child sex sting for sending sexually explicit messages.

A veteran police officer who was named “Detective of the Year” in 2019 was charged with exchanging sexually explicit messages with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

Gregory Daniel Beaumarchais, 43, is facing a misdemeanor charge of annoying or molesting a victim believed to be under the age of 18, Orange County District Attorney officials said on Tuesday
“Police officers are entrusted with the sacred responsibility to safeguard society from harm,” Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said in a statement.
“It is beyond disturbing that a sworn police officer would engage in inappropriate conversations with someone he believed to be a child. Our children should not have to worry about being preyed upon by the very people we teach them who are there to protect them.”
Prosecutors said Beaumarchais allegedly exchanged sexually explicit messages with a civilian decoy on a social media platform between December 2021 and January 2022.
When access to his social media was cut off by the provider, Beaumarchais allegedly instantly created another account under a similar user name, Orange County District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Kimberly Edds told The Post.
Edds added Beaumarchais would often text the civilian decoy sexually graphic messages while he was on duty.
The decoy contacted the non-profit organization Orange County Crime Stoppers and informed them about messages she received from someone who claimed to be a police officer.
I’m not exactly sure why the feds were involved but they were. The Department of Homeland InSecurity aided in the sting. It’s interesting as they seem to have a tough time busting those in their own ranks in the Department of Defense. Remember those thousands of DoD employees that were popped downloading child porn?
Santa Ana Police officials said, “Upon assessing the information, the Department’s Internal Affairs Unit determined the matter to be criminal in nature and the Police Department took immediate and swift action in referring these allegations to the appropriate local and federal authorities. Our department learned of this information on a Friday, and the following Monday, we directly engaged with federal partners to initiate a criminal investigation.”
Beaumarchais, who has worked with the Santa Ana Police Department for 11 years, turned himself in on Tuesday following a warrant that was issued for his arrest. He is now on administrative leave.
Guess what? The guy is only facing a maximum of one year in jail and being required to register as a sex offender. That’s not justice. No wonder we are in the shape we are in.
