Fake News Anchor Brian Williams Gets Pummeled After Attacking Trump’s National Security Adviser Pick Over Fake News
If you recall, NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams was fired for lying about what he saw in Iraq in 2003. However, MSNBC picked him up as an anchor anyway demonstrating that integrity is not a strong point with the network. Yet, Williams had the audacity to hypocritically attack President-elect Donald Trump’s national security adviser about fake news thinking that people would forget about his own fake news. They didn’t.
On Wednesday evening, Williams targeted Republicans and Trump for pushing “fake news.”
In doing so, Williams brought up Trump’s national security adviser pick, Lt. General Michael Flynn.

“Flynn’s son was fired by the Trump transition today for passing out fake news stories via Twitter. But his dad, the retired three star general has passed on some gems himself.
Here are a few, Clinton is involved with child sex trafficking and has secretly waged war on the Catholic Church. As well as charges that the president is a jihadi who laundered money for Muslim terrorists.
As we talked about here last night, fake news played a role in this election and continues to find a wide audience.”
He then targeted other outlets that provide an alternative perspective than the state-controlled narrative.
Well, Williams had his behind handed to him in the form of several comments, one of which came from NewsBusters.
Then there were these comments.
We previously reported on Williams’ lies about his time in Iraq.
NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams admitted Wednesday he was not aboard a helicopter hit and forced down by RPG fire during the invasion of Iraq in 2003, a false claim that has been repeated by the network for years.
Williams repeated the claim Friday during NBC’s coverage of a public tribute at a New York Rangers hockey game for a retired soldier that had provided ground security for the grounded helicopters, a game to which Williams accompanied him. In an interview with Stars and Stripes, he said he had misremembered the events and was sorry.
The admission came after crew members on the 159th Aviation Regiment’s Chinook that was hit by two rockets and small arms fire told Stars and Stripes that the NBC anchor was nowhere near that aircraft or two other Chinooks flying in the formation that took fire. Williams arrived in the area about an hour later on another helicopter after the other three had made an emergency landing, the crew members said.
“I would not have chosen to make this mistake,” Williams said. “I don’t know what screwed up in my mind that caused me to conflate one aircraft with another.”
Williams was also one of many, like Hillary Clinton, who peddled the Benghazi video. Now both are behind targeting news outlets they don’t agree with to silence them so that they are the only voice, the voice of lies.
