Harry Reid: Cliven Bundy Supporters are “Domestic Terrorists”

Harry Reid was brought into the midst of the Cliven Bundy standoff, following reports of his and his son’s work with a Chinese solar company to bring Nevada a multi-billion dollar solar farm to Nevada. In response to the stand down on Saturday by the Bureau of Land Management, Reid hypocritically responded, “We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So, it’s not over.” On Thursday, during a ‘Hashtags & Headlines’ event at the Paris Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Reid referred to Bundy supporters as “Nothing more than domestic terrorists,” adding, “I repeat: what happened there was domestic terrorism.”

Reid was not only referring to Bundy and his family, but the protesters and militia that also showed up in Bunkerville to support the Bundys.

“There were hundreds, hundreds of people from around the country that came there,” Reid said. “They had sniper rifles in the freeway. They had weapons, automatic weapons. They had children lined up. They wanted to make sure they got hurt first … What if others tried the same thing?”

Ben Swann reported that there were talks of putting women and children at the front of the protest, but that didn’t happen. However, many women who were there responded that they wouldn’t have to be asked, but would be willing to move to the front on their own.

However, notice what Reid said about the militia there. They had automatic weapons. Maybe they did or maybe they didn’t. However, what kind of weapons were the BLM using? That’s right, fully automatic weapons. Several of my own sources have confirmed that there were even .50 BMGs ready for use with more ammunition than eyewitnesses could count. I don’t see Reid pointing out that, do you?

The numbers of armed feds against the protesters and militia was very large. Sources have confirmed there were well over 250 armed federal agents, and some have estimated upwards of 1,000, though that cannot be confirmed.

Reid also made it sound as if he expected these armed federal agents to actually fire on unarmed women and children.

Let’s be clear: There was domestic terrorism going on, but it wasn’t from supporters, militia or the members of the Cliven Bundy family. It was from our own government. Here’s part of what that terrorism looks like (ironically nice brown colored shirts).

While Reid would have you believe these protesters and supporters were violent criminals, the only violence on display at the Bundy ranch came from federal agents, who not only hit protesters with vehiclestasered them and threatened them, but also shot, killed and buried in mass graves cattle owned by Cliven Bundy. To top it off, the FAA has even enforced a no-fly zone until May 11, 2014 over the area.

Let me remind you that at no time has Cliven Bundy been charged with a crime. At no time has he been indicted and had his day in court. Has the BLM tried to use the court system to manipulate itself in the matter? Absolutely, but as of to date, Cliven Bundy has never been given his day in court before a jury of his peers to face any kind of criminal charges for what he has done. As Ben reported the other day, BLM doesn’t want to take him to court because they are afraid he has prescriptive rights to the land.

In case anyone recalls, Bundy can’t have a trial, until he is actually charged. This is why in their statement, the BLM said they would pursue “administrative” measures in going after Bundy. Though they included the term “judicial,” that has yet to be used.

Neither Bundy nor his supporters have been charged with a crime. Yet, Harry Reid calls him and his supporters (who exercised their First and Second Amendment Rights) domestic terrorists.

While we documented with pictures the effects of Harry Reid’s beloved BLM, the BLM even admitted to killing two prize bulls belonging to Bundy during the roundup. Though they wouldn’t elaborate, the BLM said those bulls “posed a safety hazard.” Right, sure they did. Will Bundy be receiving compensation for those bulls? I doubt it. Will Bundy send the BLM an invoice for all the cow manure the precious desert tortoise they claim to be protecting were consuming due to his cattle being on the land? I wish he would, and I also wish he would make the bill out for the same amount they claim he owes.

Frankly, I’m glad Reid plays his hand like this. He exposes himself for what he really is. In my estimation, Harry Reid has been exposed as a supporter of domestic terrorism, not upholding the Constitution or the rule of law. Nevada, if you re-elect this tin pot tyrant again, then what falls on you is completely deserve.
