Obama Rams through $7.4 Billion Worth of Regulations Under Cover of Darkness – But There’s More!

Late Wednesday evening, the Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah published $7.4 billion worth of new regulations under the cover of darkness, knowing that it being a holiday week that most people are not paying attention.

American Action Forum (AAF) Director of Regulatory Policy Sam Batkins put together a list of the regulations that were entered into the Federal Register.

He then added that the Obama administration’s ridiculous and costly regulations will “break the record for most major rules in a calendar year.”

This Marxist administration is seeking to burden the American people with debt and overreaching and unconstitutional regulations. According to Michael Bastasch, the regulations being imposed by the administration could total $44 billion before he leaves office and up to $75 billion after he leaves!

Bastasch writes:

The Obama administration could end up finalizing $75 billion worth of regulations before and after the president leaves office in January, according to a new report.

That includes $44 billion worth of “midnight” regulations published after election day, but before President Barack Obama leaves office on January 21. The right-leaning American Action Forum (AAF) compiled a list of 40 rules scheduled to be published in the Federal Register since November 2016.

“The $75 billion estimate contains roughly 40 monetized figures out of what will be hundreds of potential final rules,” commented Batkins.

“It is unlikely regulators in the Obama Administration will have the opportunity to enact the full slate listed here,” Batkins wrote. “Still, there is a degree of uncertainty. The public does not know the cost of proposed rulemakings not yet published, nor the countless other rules that will be final in the coming weeks.”

The Department of Interior and the Environmental Protection Agency are scheduled to publish $5.1 billion worth of “midnight” regulations, as well as $10.1 billion from the Department of Energy, which is imposing new regulations for home efficiency standards and power supplies.

Where is any authority given to the central government to be doing these things? It’s certainly not in our Constitution!

Some believe that many of these regulations will be repealed by Congress and President-elect Donald Trump. That remains to be seen.

We do know that Trump has said he wants to push back many of Obama’s regulations, beginning his first 100 days in office.

Congress is able to utilize the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to repeal many of the regulations, and have the Midnight Rules Relief Act ready for Trump to sign once he is in office. That legislation has passed the House and will more than likely be passed in the Senate in the new Congress.

However, what should be concerning is an executive pushing billions of dollars in regulations that Congress has not allotted money towards and the Constitution does not give neither Congress nor the president authority to spend money on or regulate.

In the end, Barry gives the appearance that he is fixing things when in reality he is breaking everything.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. –John 3:20
