In the past, we have led in taking in tens of thousands of refugees, but under the Trump administration, that is no longer the case.

America is a constitutional republic, not a monarchy. It’s past time that the American people started reminding their congressmen and senators of that fact before more of our brave young men and women in uniform are brought back in flag-draped coffins, having died for the parochial agendas of ignominious people who are using that flag not for the cause of liberty and protection of America but for their own financial fortunes.

Our government could very well be trying to do the same thing in Syria as it has done in Libya and Iraq. And the trail goes back further. There’s a Wikileaks cable from 2006 detailing how to overthrow Assad, including radicalizing Islamists in the region. Yet, President Trump says this bombing was a targeted attack to stop the use of chemical weapons, that’s it. U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May took it further, stating that “This is not about regime change.” It’s hard to believe when history tells a different story.

US intelligence officials have admitted that the US launched the attack against Syria without being able to confirm that a sarin chemical attack had taken place.

I suggest that if people are going to the Constitution to defend the strikes in Syria or anywhere else, they should read the entire context and not drop relevant, important phrases that the founders placed in the document that would restrict such actions.

Russia’s ambassador to the European Union, Vladimir Chizov, said “Russian military specialists have visited this region, walked on those streets, entered those houses, talked to local doctors and visited the only functioning hospital in Douma, including its basement where reportedly the mountains of corpses pile up. There was not a single corpse and even not a single person who came in for treatment after the attack.”

Make no mistake: the neocons are back and looking for another war. They’ve got the president’s ear. Iran? North Korea? Russia? China? Who’s next for the warmongers?

So why is President Trump now embracing those insane policies that if continued will undoubtedly leave another power vacuum in the Middle East which will be filled with jihadis?
