So, after Wikileaks information was used by team Trump during the presidential election in 2016, the Trump administration is now seemingly turning on Wikileaks.  In his first speech as CIA director on Wednesday, Mike Pompeo took the opportunity to blast Wikileaks as a “nonstate hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors like Russia.”

“WikiLeaks walks like a hostile intelligence service and talks like a hostile intelligence service,” Mr. Pompeo said. To support his assessment, he cited how the group had encouraged followers to join the C.I.A. and steal secrets, and how “it overwhelmingly focuses on the United States while seeking support from antidemocratic countries.”

He also referred to Wikileaks founder Julian Assange as a “narcissist,” “a fraud  –  a coward hiding behind a screen,” and a “false wizard.”

Granted, Pompeo does not speak for President Donald Trump, but let’s go back and remember a few things, shall we?

First, we know that Trump has had high praise for Wikileaks.

“I love Wikileaks!” Trump declared in a speech on October 10, 2016.  Trump used Wikileaks in several of his tweets prior to being elected, especially when they were exposing the corruption inside the Democratic National Committee.

However, Mr. Pompeo attacked Wikileaks because they simply exposed the DNC for what they are, criminal and corrupt.

Pompeo pointed to the release of Democrat emails as a hostile intent, something that he even promoted to advance Donald Trump in the elections.

Of course, he removed that tweet, but nevertheless, he sent it out.  Of course, now, Mr. Pompeo claims the emails were stolen by Russian hackers.  This claim is unsubstantiated and both Wikileaks and Guccifer 2.0 claim the leaked documents came from insider Seth Rich, whose murder in DC prior to the elections remains unsolved, even though there is surveillance video.

Perhaps Pompeo is soiling himself over the fact that Wikileaks just exposed the CIA’s unlawful means of spying on the American people with the release of Vault 7 by Wikileaks.

The New York Times added:

In deploring leakers, Mr. Pompeo opened his remarks on Thursday with an anecdote about Phillip Agee, the former C.I.A. officer who turned against the agency and spent years exposing undercover American spies overseas. He died in Havana in 2008.

Like Mr. Agee, leakers “choose to see themselves in a romantic light,” Mr. Pompeo said. “They cling to this fiction, even though their disclosures often inflict irreparable harm.”

He then turned to WikiLeaks, citing its release of Democratic Party emails stolen by Russian hackers — the same stolen emails he was promoting in July — as evidence of its hostile intent.

“It’s time to call out WikiLeaks for what it really is: a nonstate hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors like Russia,” he said.

During the presidential campaign, Mr. Pompeo said, “Russian military intelligence, the G.R.U., had used WikiLeaks to release data of U.S. victims that the G.R.U. had obtained through cyberoperations against the Democratic National Committee.”

He also said that Mr. Assange, who has spent nearly five years holed up in the Ecuadorean embassy in London to avoid extradition on sexual assault charges in Sweden, did not enjoy First Amendment protections.

“No one has the right to engage in the theft of secrets from America,” Mr. Pompeo said.

Stop and think about that.  What right does the central government have to engage in clear violations of the Fourth Amendment against the people it is supposed to serve?  They have none.  What Wikileaks did was expose their crimes and they are hopping mad about it.

Now, here’s the question, does Trump stand behind Pompeo’s comments about Wikileaks?  How would these comments by CIA director Mik Pompeo be any different than what we heard coming out of the Democrat Party of the Obama administration?  Will Trump speak up against the attacks on Wikileaks by his CIA director?  We’ll see.
