VA Governor: “You’d Have To Pick Trump Up Off The Floor” If He “Got In My Space”

Honestly, some of the rhetoric we continue to hear coming out of some people’s mouths when it comes to addressing the president, no matter who it is, causes me to wonder if anyone learned the Fifth Commandment and the principles implied in “Honor your father and your mother that your days may be long upon the earth” (Exodus 20:12).

I bring that up because we learn to show honor to those in authority first towards our parents.  However, much of that has been lost in political circles.

Virginia Governor Terry MacAuliffe, whose term ends on Saturday, is the latest to demonstrate that he has no regard for authority and has recently stated that if he were in a debate with President Donald Trump and Trump got up close to him, someone would have to pick Trump up off the floor.

Matthews, who is known to be an intimidator, brought up Trump’s tactics in addressing his opponents by giving them nicknames like “Low Energy Jeb” and “Little Marco” and “leaning over” people like he did with Hillary Clinton during the town hall debate.

“What would you do in a debate with him if he tried that?” Mr. Matthews asked. “If he came over and leaned over back of you, what would you do?”

“You’d have to pick him up off the floor,” Mr. McAuliffe replied.

“OK,” the host said, laughing. “You mean you’d deck him?”

“Listen, this guy got in my space,” Mr. McAuliffe responded. “You want to get in my space? I’ve always said, Chris, ‘You punch me, I’m going to punch you back twice as hard.’ And it wouldn’t be hard to do it.

“This guy thinks he can intimidate everybody. It’s disgraceful. It’s embarrassing,” he added. “But if he ever came over and leaned on me and got in my space, that would be the last time Donald Trump ever did that, I promise you that.”

“You sound like an Irish-American politician,” Mr. Matthews said gleefully, adding that Mr. McAuliffe’s comments would undoubtedly “go viral.”

MacAuliffe also went on to call Trump an “embarrassment” to the country, as if Governor MacAuliffe has not been an embarrassment to the people of Virginia and he demonstrated it by all of the ridiculous legislation that he signed into law in the state.

Well, let’s hope that Mr. MacAuliffe doesn’t have to debate President Trump anytime soon or he may find himself in the custody of the Secret Service with charges filed against him.

However, this is the mentality of an elected representative!  He is a reflection of the very people that elected him.

I didn’t condone physical attacks on the usurper Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah and I don’t condone them on Donald Trump or any other person in this manner.  It’s completely intolerable to even joke about such behavior, but here we see it today as if it is common place.

MacAuliffe will be succeeded by Democrat Lt. Governor Ralph Northam.

Here’s the full clip.
