Bergdahl Faces Court Martial as Taliban Five Resume “Threatening Activities”

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has been charged with desertion and is facing a court martial, but that isn’t stopping the five Taliban leaders the Barack Hussein Obama illegally traded for Bergdahl from engaging in “threatening activities,” according to a House Armed Services Committee report.

First, the Associated Press reports:

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl will face general court-martial in connection with his 2009 disappearance from his base in Afghanistan, the service announced on Monday, raising the possibility that the soldier could face life in prison after being held captive for five years.

Bergdahl, 29, is charged with desertion and misbehavior before the enemy. He has been a political lightning rod since he was exchanged in May 2014 in a prisoner swap approved by the White House in which five Taliban officials were released from the military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and kept under supervised watch in Qatar.

The decision was made by Gen. Robert Abrams, the four-star commander of U.S. Army Forces Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. It came after Bergdahl broke his silence last week by participating in the popular podcast “Serial.” The weekly podcast obtained 25 hours of recorded conversations between Bergdahl and film producer Mark Boal with Bergdahl’s approval.

The decision is more severe than what was recommended by an Army officer, Lt. Col. Mark Visger, who oversaw a two-day hearing for Bergdahl’s case in September, according to Bergdahl’s lawyer. Visger recommended that Bergdahl face a lower form of judicial proceeding known as a special court-martial, which would have come with a maximum penalty of 12 months of confinement.

Bergdahl was and is obviously delusional about who he is and what he did.

“Doing what I did is me saying that I am like, I don’t know, Jason Bourne. . .. I had this fantastic idea that I was going to prove to the world that I was the real thing,” Bergdahl said. “You know, that I could be what it is that all those guys out there that go to the movies and watch those movies, they all want to be that, but I wanted to prove that I was that.”

The House Armed Services Committee determined the Obama administration broke the law in the Bergdahl swap, but they aren’t doing one single thing to impeach the lawbreaker! The Hill reports:

A yearlong investigation by the House Armed Services Committee has concluded that the Obama administration broke the law in swapping five Taliban members for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl — and went out of its way to hide the negotiations as they were happening.

A yearlong investigation by the House Armed Services Committee has concluded that the Obama administration broke the law in swapping five Taliban members for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl — and went out of its way to hide the negotiations as they were happening.

The report said the administration broke a law requiring it to give members of Congress 30 days’ advance notice of any detainee transfers from the Guantánamo Bay detention facility, where the senior Taliban leaders were held.

It also found that it misled reporters and lawmakers about a potential prisoner exchange. Congress was instead notified just hours before the May 2014 transfer took place.

Meanwhile, several servicemen, the numbers are as high as 14, have been killed while searching for Bergdahl, and Master Sgt. Mark Allen of Loganville, Georgia was so badly injured that he will never be able to care for himself again, apart from a miracle.

Also, the five Taliban leaders who were traded for Bergdahl have resumed their Islamic jihad activities, just as they vowed they would.

Breitbart reports:

…the White House failed to prevent against “the ongoing national security risks posed by the Taliban 5” and their transfer to Qatar, the committee report adds.

An Intelligence Committee statement to the President warning of the Taliban 5’s reengagement in threatening activities is quoted in the report.

“Despite the current restrictions of the [Memorandum Of Understanding], it is clear… that the five former detainees have participated in activities that threaten U.S. and coalition personnel and are counter to U.S. national security interests–not unlike their activities before they were detained on the battlefield.,” the Intelligence Committee statement said.

“At least three of the five Taliban leaders… have tried to plug back into their old terror networks,” the Committee adds, quoting a report.

And “there are indications that Qatar is eager to have the Taliban Five depart,” the Committee report adds. If the Taliban Five leave (or have already left) Qatar, there is virtually no measure in place to track the former Guantanamo detainees, or prevent them from re-emerging on the battlefield.

So, we have just one more incident that shows that Barack Hussein Obama is engaged in treason against the united States and has provided America’s enemies five of their top leaders while attempting to soft peddle what Bowe Bergdahl did. And I ask the House Armed Service Committee, which one of you are willing to step forward after saying Obama broke the law and put forward articles of impeachment to that effect? Until then, your reports and your silence regarding impeachment are simply complicity in his crimes!
