On The Same Team: Donald Trump Donated To Harris & The Clinton Foundation
And no matter who you are supporting, they are playing you! Yep, it’s true, Donald Trump donated money to Kamala Harris and The Clinton Foundation. Do you really think he’s any different than them? Really?
The Wall Street Journal reports:
Before he was president, Donald Trump liked Kamala Harris enough that he donated twice to her campaigns, records show. Trump gave a total of $6,000 in 2011 and 2013 to California Attorney General Kamala Harris. At the time, her Democratic opponent, U.S. Rep. Loretta Sanchez, questioned whether the Trump donations influenced the state’s probe of Trump University. Ivanka Trump, the former president’s daughter, gave $2,000 in 2014.

Sarah Longwell, an anti-Trump GOP consultant, on Sunday posted an image of a $5,000 check Trump wrote in 2011. “Hahahahaha,” she wrote. Trump gave to other Democrats during the course of his business career. Bill and Hillary Clinton attended Trump’s 2005 wedding to Melania Trump.
KTVU adds:
Records from the California Secretary of State show that Trump made two donations to Harris’ re-election campaign when she served as California’s attorney general.
Harris held the office from 2011 to 2017, prior to her election to the U.S. Senate.
Trump donated $5,000 to her campaign in 2011 and another $1,000 in 2013. His daughter Ivanka Trump also supported Harris with a $2,000 donation in 2014.
Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) posted a photo on X of the check, saying, “Was a wise investment.”
As The Guardian noted, Michael Steele, former chair of the Republican National Committee, quipped, “So when Trump wrote that check to re-elect Kamala Harris in 2011, I bet he didn’t think she’d cash it in 2024!”
Additionally, The Clinton Foundation, you know, the one run by the woman he claimed he would prosecute but slapped his supporters in the face not even a minute after his win by declaring Hillary Clinton was owed a debt of gratitude for her service to the country, also received money from Donald Trump. In fact, it was way more than Kamala got.
The Hill reports:
New York real estate mogul Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka have donated a combined total of at least $105,000 to the Clinton Foundation, records show.
“Donald J. Trump” is listed on the foundation’s website as giving between $100,000 and $250,000 to the charitable organization.
“Ivanka Trump,” meanwhile, is listed as a donor who gifted between $5,001 and $10,000 to the nonprofit.
{mosads}“This list is comprised of those who made contributions or grants to advance the work of any part of the Clinton Foundation, including the Clinton Global Initiative, and indicates cumulative lifetime giving through 2014,” the website said.
The website does not specify when the Trumps donated, nor the exact amount of their contributions.
Donald Trump, a possible 2016 GOP presidential candidate, has repeatedly criticized Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton for her lack of transparency concerning the foundation.
“If this was a Republican sitting right there, this would absolutely be considered illegal,” Trump said last month of the foundation’s activities on Fox News’s “Fox and Friends.”
“This is about jail time; this isn’t about the voters,” he added.
Careful about throwing those stones at a glass house, Trump.
That’s not all. Though I think the two-party system is a great evil that needs to be abolished, some of my readers continue to play with the same snakes and think they won’t get bitten again. Think again.
There was a time before 2011 when Trump donated far more to Democrats than Republicans. Just keep in mind that more than likely it was around that time that he began to look at running for office in 2016.
