There are those people that claims everything hurts them. No matter what happens, they are now emotionally scarred. They cry victim at every turn and seek to make others pay out for their pain.

We as a nation, in an effort to protect real victims, have created these people. Much like parents who give the whiny child the attention they desire, we have created a whiny society. And we are now reaping the whirlwind.

Fox reports:

A Tennessee lawman who posted an Easter message and other religious-themed comments on Facebook said Tuesday he is ready for a legal showdown with an atheist group that accused him of violating the Constitution.

American Atheists denounced both the message and the apparent scrubbing of comments critical of the Easter post and (Sheriff Eric Watson) Watson’s religious views. The group’s federal complaint charged that Watson’s religious post and subsequent deletion of critical comments “have caused and are causing immediate and irreparable injury, loss or damage” to the plaintiffs.

One has to ask: if these posts were causing “immediate and irreparable injury, loss or damage,” why then did she not simply stop following the posts? I mean, that seems simple enough. If something burns you, you do not continue to place your hand on it, do you?

No, in actuality, this woman wants to complain. She wants to play the victim. She wants to collect on this man’s attempt to live out his faith. But most of all, she is seeking to silence the sheriff.

She does not like the things that Sheriff Watson said, and she wants him to stop saying them. She apparently posted things contrary to the Sheriff’s beliefs to shame him into silence, but he simply took them down.

So this begs the question: why did she continue to go to the Facebook page? If these things were causing and still cause her damage, why look at them? The reason is simple: if she had stopped, she could not sue.
