The Bible tells us that children are a heritage and reward from the Lord (Psalm 127 & 128), but it also warns that if they are not directed in the commands of God, that they will become a reproach (Proverbs 29:15). Such is the case with this 10-year-old boy who fails at quoting the Bible to justify what his parents have obviously tolerated, which in times past would have been considered child abuse. Watch as he berates the Texas Senate against banning gender confused minors, like himself.

10-year-old Kai Shappley spoke to representatives on Monday regarding Texas Senate Bill 1646, a bill that classifies it as child abuse for anyone to administer puberty suppression drugs, hormone replacement therapy, transgender surgeries or medical procedures to minors.

Of course, Kai couldn’t speak without looking at his black mirror iphone and stating that legislators have been “attacking me since pre-K” and adding, “I’ve been having to explain myself since I was three or four years old.”

“I am in fourth grade now,” Shappley continued. “When it comes to bills that target trans youth, I immediately feel angry. It’s been very scary and overwhelming. It just — it makes me sad that some politicians use trans kids like me to get votes from people who hate me just because I exist.”

He then went there… quoting the Bible to justify his behavior… at 10 years old!

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me,” he quoted completely out of context from the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 25.

“God made me, God loves me for who I am, and God does not make mistakes,” Shappley said. “You should be careful how you treat the least of these.”

He then added, “My mom has been giving everything, she has to stand up for me.”

Well, maybe that is the problem. Mom has been giving this little brat everything but strong discipline, correction and instruction in righteousness.

“These new things y’all are trying to do, we both are having to advocate for each other because you are now targeting a great mom and a great nurse,” Kai added.

OK, so just a couple of things here.

First, Kai obviously cannot think for himself as he is a minor and must use an iphone to even convey his “thoughts.

Second, the text from Matthew is about how love is demonstrated by clothing the naked, feeding the poor, visiting the imprisoned and such. This demonstrates that those who have true saving faith, demonstrate that faith by their love for other people, which is a demonstration of their love for God.

Third, Yes, God does not make mistakes, but men surely do, and more than that, men surely sin and knowingly violate God’s law. Deuteronomy 6 would be a good passage for Kai’s mom to learn, put into her heart and teach Kai, for example.

Because Kai’s parents have not taught him the ways of the Lord, he is now spouting the very opposite of what God has said.

“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.” -Deuteronomy 22:5

While I blame Kai’s parents for failing to teach him properly, the fact of the matter is that little Kai demonstrates that he is living out being an abomination unto the LORD, and God does not say that He loves such, but is opposed to them.

The message though for Kai is the same to his mom, and is the same to any human on the earth: Repent! Stop doing things your way and be reconciled to God through the Lord Jesus Christ who gave Himself for sinners to save them from God’s wrath against sin and its power over them in this life.

The Texas bill is on target in labeling this behavior as child abuse.
