Cliven Bundy Arrested, Occupiers to Turn Themselves In
On Wednesday evening, Cliven Bundy was arrested after flying into the Portland International Airport. On top of that, the remaining four occupiers at the Oregon wildlife refuge have said they will be turning themselves in on Thursday.
First, here’s the story. According to the Bundy Ranch’s Facebook page, “Cliven Bundy just landed in Portland; we are being told by eyes on ground that he was surrounded by SWAT and DETAINED.”
The FBI booked Bundy in the Multnomah County Jail on Wednesday evening, according to prison records.

He was arrested at 10:10 p.m., authorities said.
The Bundy patriarch had traveled to Portland with plans to go on to Burns, where four occupiers had been the remaining holdouts of the refuge occupation.
…
Some of the key participants in that standoff helped orchestrate the wildlife refuge occupation, including Ammon and Ryan Bundy. They are both in custody in Portland.
Bundy’s arrest comes two weeks after the arrest of his sons and the murder of LaVoy Finicum.
A source close to me called this morning and confirmed to me what reporter Pete Santilli told me weeks ago, and that is that the feds are targeting many of the Oathkeepers and other citizens who stood with the Bundys in 2014. Apparently, charges are being trumped up against these people for impeding federal officers from doing their jobs. I say trumped up because the fact is that though the Oregonian claims that the Bundys stopped paying their grazing fees, the opposite is true. They merely started paying them to the State of Nevada rather than the Bureau of Land Management, since the Constitution does not allow for the land in any of these states to be owned by the DC government unless the state legislatures vote to allow it and it must be used for specific purposes.
So, if you were at Bundy Ranch, watch your back and keep your ear to the ground.
Meanwhile, the remaining occupiers have said they would be turning themselves in on Thursday, but gave conditions for their surrender. KGW reports:
The FBI surrounded the final occupiers at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge near Burns Wednesday night.
During a live stream of a phone conversation, the occupiers said they would surrender Thursday morning only if escorted by Nevada politician Michele Fiore and Franklin Graham, who is part of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
The FBI claims that surrounding the occupiers in this fashion is for their own safety. After an ATV was driven past barriers established by the occupiers and then driven back in “at a high rate of speed” according to a statement from FBI Portland, Greg Bretzing, special agent in charge said, “We reached a point where it became necessary to take action in a way that best ensured the safety of those on the refuge.”
This seems more of an attempt to “take the high road” than a real concern for the safety of the occupiers.
Fiore, who was also at Bundy Ranch during the BLM siege, told KGW concerning the FBI’s agreement to the occupiers’ terms of surrender, “They have given us their word that they’re going to stand down tonight. They’ve promised us…I expect them to honor their promise.”
I’m not going to hold my breath about anything the FBI says they have agreed to. Nearly 30 men showed up in 5-6 vehicles, some of them armored, to surround 4.
Some of the occupiers believe that since Finicum was gunned down that they are next.
“They killed LaVoy and they’re about to kill us,” one of the occupiers said on the stream as another occupier said, “If they shoot, then we’ll shoot back.”
However, occupier Sean Anderson said that the four would leave their weapons in their vehicles and walk to a checkpoint that was setup near the refuge.
Sandy Anderson, another of the occupiers said, “If we go to jail, we’ll never see the light of day again.”
Fiore tried to keep cool heads in the midst of what is a very volatile situation.
“I need you to stay alive,” Fiore said. “The only way we’re going to be able to write your story…is if you’re alive.”
Somehow, I confess that this reminds me of the very things that were being done to our forefathers just prior to the Revolutionary War. Why are patriots, who are pointing out the violations of the Constitution by the BLM, the DC government and various unconstitutional federal agencies being arrested instead of those who are actually violating the law? It seems to me that this is exactly why the Constitution is to protect the rights of the people to keep and bear arms and also to provide a well-regulated militia for the preservation of a free state. However, do you see Congress providing any funds, as they are supposed to for the arming and training of the militia in that $1 Trillion Omnibus bill? I didn’t think so. We know who the criminals are, and they are not the Bundys.
