Democrat Senator Pushes For Legislation To Keep Trump From Firing Mueller
Democrats seem obviously paranoid that President Donald Trump will fire special counsel Robert Mueller.
So much are they fearful that the Russian collusion investigation will be derailed, despite the fact that there has been no evidence presented except that Democrats were in collusion with the Russians over a debunked dossier, one of their own senators is now calling for legislation to prevent President Trump from firing Mueller as special counsel.
Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) appeared on CNN and said, “We see now a president who has no clear sense of his boundaries and of the rule of law.”

Seriously, I have to laugh. We’ve been seeing a president for eight years prior to the one in office now that knew the boundaries of the law and completely disregarded them while Coons, Democrats and Republicans let him do so. We even documented over 1,000 of those things.
Sen. Chris Coons calls for Congress to pass legislation to protect special counsel Robert Mueller: It would "protect our country from an unnecessary moment should the President go off the rails on this issue again" https://t.co/BdMJnv8wnp

“On occasion, he consults his lawyers and follows their advice and the outcome’s been positive,” Coons said. “On occasion, he doesn’t consult his lawyers and he’s done and said things that have really threatened the rule of law.”
Of course, the comments of Coons come a week after allegations in a New York Times story said that Trump sought to fire Mueller in June 2017, but failed to go through with the firing because White House counsel Don McGahn II protested by threatening his resignation.
According to the report, Trump considered firing Mueller after “the president began to argue that Mr. Mueller had three conflicts of interest that disqualified him from overseeing the investigation.”
“Mr. Mueller could not be impartial because he had most recently worked for the law firm that previously represented the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner,” was one of the things cited in the article and referenced the fact that Trump had argued Mueller disputed a fee at Trump’s National Golf Club in Virginia.
The fact of the matter is that Trump has the constitutional authority to fire Mueller, especially in light of the millions of dollars being spent without a shred of evidence being produced in a more than year-long investigation.
Coons, like many of those in the Democrat Party simply cannot handle the truth. Sadly, some in the Republican Party can’t handle it either.
