So, the FBI released a document on Thursday that showed communications between the FBI and the New York Police indicating that they had retrieved some 340,000 emails from Anthony Weiner’s laptop computer.  In that document, the FBI claimed that a “significant number… appeared to be between Huma Abedin and Hillary Clinton.”

To whom the email was sent has been redacted, but one wonders if it was to then-FBI Director James Comey.  The person sending the message has also been redacted.

“During the course of my review of a computer seized from Anthony Weiner, a seizure and search of which was authorized by an SDNY Search Warrant, I encountered approximately/ at least 340,000 emails stored on the computer,” the message read.

The person writing said this was largely due to the use of a mail client program that had been installed on the computer.

“A significant number o these 340,000 emails appeared to be between Huma Abedin and Hillary Clinton (the latter who appears to have  used a number of different email addresses).”

The person reviewing did not review the contents of the emails, but simply based his conclusions on the header information.

The reviewer went on to state, “SDNY is comfortable with me continuing my review as I have, which is to NOT read emails to/from Anthony Weiner to which his wife, or a possible attorney is a party.  Even if there is a third party on those emails, I will not review their content out of an abundance of caution.  Obviously, I will not review any emails to which Anthony Weiner is not a party (such as emails between Ms. Abedin and Mrs. Clinton).

OK, does anyone believe this person is not reading some of these emails?  I sure don’t.  Second, though the reviewer says they are only determining contents based on header information, they then state they won’t review emails to which Anthony Weiner is not a party, those between Clinton and Abedin.  Aren’t they doing that to a certain extent by reviewing headers?  How does one know whether or not emails are of an attorney/client privilege unless they actually are read?

In any case, if a significant number of 340,000 emails are between Clinton and Abedin, we’re talking a whole lot of emails that more than likely contain classified information, to which Weiner should never have had access.
