Florida: Secret Service Claims Muslim Man Threatened Trump During Arrest For Scissor Attack
A Muslim man living in Florida reportedly threatened President Donald J. Trump while he was being arrested in a Walmart parking lot for attacking another person with a pair of scissors.
“Federal court records show Mohammed Omar Haji Mohammed is charged with making threats against the president during the July 8 altercation,” according to NBC3. “A Secret Service affidavit says Mohammed tried to slash a Walmart employee during a disagreement at the customer service desk, then yelled threats in Arabic that were recorded on body cameras by police who responded.”
According to police, those threats included some against Trump.
“We are coming for you Trump. We are coming for you with knives. God will send angels to destroy you,” Mohammed reportedly said. “l need Trump cut. I want to cut, two portions.”
Mohammed also reportedly made suspicious posts on his Facebook page.
“Whoever knows why I came to America wait for the urgent news on television screens and victory is from Allah,” he reportedly wrote.
The NBC report said that an anonymous tipster spoke to authorities about Mohammed three days before the incident at the Walmart.
He was charged with aggravated assault, battery against a police officer and disorderly conduct for the incident at the Walmart. When Secret Service watched the Fort Lauderdale Police Department’s body camera footage and recognized him as the person whom authorities had been warned about three days prior, they filed federal charges for making threats against Trump.
Fascinatingly, Mohammed was using Facebook to indicate that he would commit a violent act against the United States, and he was allowed to continue using the platform. Laura Loomer, a Trump supporter who is simply outspoken about her conservative values, and a critic of violent Muslims like Mohammed coming to the United States, was labeled a “dangerous individual” and thrown off the platform. In Facebook’s eyes, conservatives are considered more dangerous than jihadists.
Loomer is suing the company for $3 billion in punitive damages.
