Oakland Man with Machete Attacks Cars in Middle of Street – Then He Wished He Wouldn’t Have
Viral videos are making their rounds around the internet showing an Oakland man wielding a machete in the middle of the street, attacking cars as they drive by and taunting the drivers. However, it doesn’t take long before drivers begin to attack the man and my guess is that he soon regretted his actions.
KRON reported that the incident took place at about 3am on October 20 at the intersection of International Boulevard and 37th Avenue in Oakland.
A25-year-old man went on a rampage attacking cars with machetes, screaming obscenities and taunting drivers. Here are the short video clips from the incident. WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE (You can turn down sound as it doesn’t add anything to the footage).

Apparently, there was some threats made by the driver of one of the cars.
“If you don’t shoot the f***ing ground, I’ll come over and smash the f***ing windows of your car,” the attacker yells out at one of the motorists.
Then the car is hit with the machete as it speeds past. Later the car is seen backing up in an attempt to run the man with the machete over. He misses, but a second attempt is successful and he runs the man over.
However, as soon as the man gets up and the car pulls forward, another vehicle runs into the man throwing him up onto the windshield and then into the street.
Incredibly, the man survives, gets up and walks back across the street.
Police arrive on the scene and the man ditches his machete, but bystanders who filed the incident told police what happened and where he got rid of the machete. Police arrested the man at the scene and located the machete. The man was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries and put into a psychiatric detention.
The two drivers are still at large. Police are looking for a newer red or maroon 4-door Hyundai and a newer white 4-door Toyota Camry or similar model.
Crime Stoppers of Oakland is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to an arrest in this case. Anyone with information about the vehicles or drivers is asked to contact the felony Assault Unit at (510) 238-3426.
