Ohio: Amendment would treat Abortions as Murder
These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. Proverbs 6:16-19
Indeed, the Creator does hate many things. One of those things are hands that shed innocent blood While that can be applied in a variety of contexts, when we look at the issue of the murder and dismemberment of the unborn, should we no assume that the Creator hates such things, and that our laws should be based on His law to not murder? Well. Ohio has put forth a Constitutional amendment that would declare that abortions are, in fact, murder.

The proposal is the second of its kind nationally. It would “prohibit abortion of all unborn human beings, without exception” and declare the act aggravated murder.
It says it wouldn’t affect “genuine contraception,” human eggs or in vitro fertilization.
Republican Mike DeWine’s office says three people submitted the filing. It was first reported by The Vindicator in Youngstown.
DeWine has until Monday to validate the initial 1,000 signatures and to certify summary language as accurate, fair and truthful. That would advance the proposal to the Ballot Board.
Ohio is not the first state to look to recriminalize the murder of the unborn.
In March of 2016, Oklahoma State Senator Joseph Silk (R-Broken Bow) put forth SB1118, which would have criminalized abortion as first degree murder. Alongside Silk was Senator Nathan Dahm (R-Broken Arrow) who introduced SB1552, which was similar to Silk’s bill, but would also revoke the medical license of all doctors who murder unborn children.
In April of this year, the Okalahoma House passed a bill that abolished abortion.
Steps are being taken to abolish the biggest holocaust in history, and that holocaust is taking place right under our noses. My question to those in the “pro-life” movement is why are you not full-fledged abolitionists? Why are you the ones compromising not only the law of God in this matter, but also what it means to be pro-life?
The issue of abortion is not merely a social issue nor only a moral issue. It is also an economic issue. Nearly 60 million children have been murdered through means of abortion. That is 60 million people that should be in the work force! Think about that the next time someone claims that social issues should not come to the forefront in an election.
