United Nations’ Education Agency Blasted As Immoral
Of course, it is! The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is getting blasted as being immoral and anti-semitic.
Should any of us be surprised that an organization that is anti-American and anti-Christians should be called out for its immorality? I’m certainly not.
Yet, this organization believes it should mandate what children learn and how they should be indoctrinated.
In July, University of Paris Professor and author Guy Millière ripped into UNESCO over its hostility towards the State of Israel.
He blasted the UNESCO over attempts to designate key historical Jewish sites as “Palestinian.”
“UNESCO is an immoral, anti-Semitic organization,” wrote Millière for the Gatestone Institute International Policy Council. “Decent countries should leave.”
“Sadly, UNESCO has become simply an anti-Semitic fraud, governed by fabrications rather than by facts,” he continued. “It betrays its mission, falsifies history, and wages a campaign of raw racism against the Jewish people and Judaism — and the world accepts that. UNESCO acts as an instrument for propaganda seeking to annihilate the legitimacy of the existence of Israel.”
Allegedly, the purpose of UNESCO is to “contribute to peace and security by promoting collaboration among the nations through education, science and culture in order to further universal respect for justice, for the rule of law and for the human rights and fundamental freedoms which are affirmed for the peoples of the world, without distinction of race, sex, language or religion, by the Charter of the United Nations.”
But is anything but that.
“Sadly, UNESCO has become simply an anti-Semitic fraud, governed by fabrications rather than by facts,” Millière said. “It betrays its mission, falsifies history, and wages a campaign of raw racism against the Jewish people and Judaism — and the world accepts that. UNESCO acts as an instrument for propaganda seeking to annihilate the legitimacy of the existence of Israel.”
“The Palestinian Authority (PA), which aspires to replace Israel with itself, is behind the resolutions on Jerusalem and Hebron and plays a key role in the transformation of UNESCO,” he added. “The PA has constantly advocated and supported terrorism and has never stopped wanting to destroy Israel. Allowing the PA to have entered UNESCO is now having serious consequences.”
Then there is the Islamic world.
“That the Muslim world supports the transformation of UNESCO and the resolutions proposed by the Palestinian Authority is predictable,” Mr. Millière continued. “Many Muslim countries directly or indirectly finance terrorism and approve the PA’s genocidal goals. A large part of the Muslim world mentally lives in a parallel reality, in which a seventh century “Muslim history” of the world replaces the factual history of the world. The Muslim world considers itself in a conflict with the Western world, and sees Israel as a Western enclave to be excised or at least suppressed.”
“That Third World countries also support the transformation of UNESCO and these resolutions is also predictable,” he added. “Many Third World countries are imbued with an anti-Western resentment that leads them to conclude that that they are in a conflict with the West and must therefore support decisions taken by the countries of the Muslim world.”
Sadly, many western nations have signed on to the resolutions against Israel.
Now, I’m not Zionist to be sure, but the way the UN treats Israel while accommodating the barbaric Islamic and Communist nations is absolutely hypocritical.
Additionally the issue is more than concerns Israel.
Alex Newman, writing at Freedom Project, believes the problem is much deeper than issues with Israel. He writes:
While it is undoubtedly true that UNESCO has a bizarre obsession with demonizing the tiny Jewish state, the problems with this self-styled planetary “education” department go much deeper.
For one, UNESCO and its leaders regularly boast about how they intend to globalize education, including everything from the “skills” and “knowledge” children should supposedly have, down to their “beliefs” and “values.”
To accomplish that objective, UNESCO pushes globalized textbooks that teach children to believe in globalism, “global citizenship,” the man-made global-warming theory, feminism, the LGBT ideology, and much more. The UN agency also publishes “guidelines” demanding everything from the teaching of reading using discredited quackery, to pushing pornographic sex “education” on children as young as four.
The out-of-control UN outfit even has something called the “World Core Curriculum” that, if its ideology (and theology) were more widely understood, would shock Christians, Jews, Muslims, and others to the core.
None of that should be surprising, though, considering that UNESCO is literally led by a notoriously corrupt communist — yes, an actual communist with myriad links and years of service to a mass-murdering communist regime that murdered hundreds of thousands of people. Her name is Irina Bokova.
She’s open about her agenda. “We have the collective duty to empower every child and youth with the right foundations — knowledge, values and skills — to shape the future as responsible global citizens,” Bokova declared in a statement last year.
One of the most basic rights, responsibilities, and duties parents have to their children is to educate them. The state does not possess that right. If they are doing it, and they are, they are usurped that authority and the people have allowed it to be so to their and their children’s demise.
It’s time parents became self-sufficient again and took their children out of the government indoctrination centers called public schools and obeyed God by homeschooling them as He commanded in Deuteronomy 6.
Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. – Deuteronomy 6:1-9
Let me ask you, how are you doing that when both parents are working all the time and sending their kids to children to the state-controlled, godless indoctrination centers the majority of the time they should be doing the above? The answer is you can’t.
For the sake of your children and future generations, please, do what you can to see to it that you are pouring into your children what truly made America great, the commands and precepts of the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.
