There is one thing that you have to say about President Obama: he is a true believer. Unlike Former President Bill Clinton or his Ambitious Wife Hillary, Obama is a card-carrying Liberal Ideologue. And there are few things that he is more determined to do before he leaves office than take away your 2nd Amendment rights. If he cannot get straight up legislation passed (and he cannot), then he has no problem doing it by hook or crook tactics. He is like a fenced dog trying every angle, every side, to slip through. But, if we are vigilant, we can preserve our rights. So I have to tell you that he is trying again. Breitbart reports:

President Barack Obama touted government support of smart gun purchasing for law enforcement agencies and also announced a gun control summit for state and local officials.

Breitbart gives us the President’s post on Facebook:

We’ve jumpstarted the development of smart gun technology. Today, many gun injuries and deaths are the result of legal guns that were stolen, misused, or discharged accidentally. As long as we’ve got the technology to prevent a criminal from stealing and using your smartphone, then we should be able to prevent the wrong person from pulling a trigger on a gun. So, my Administration released a plan today to expedite the development of smart gun technology, including by identifying the requirements that smart guns would have to meet in order for law enforcement to purchase and use them effectively and keep themselves and the public safer in the process.

As Breitbart points out, there are many things that Obama left out here. The failure of most of this technology to stop the wrong people from using them is suspiciously absent from the post. Also, the fact that many of the newer technologies fail to work in real world situations is not mentioned. In reality, the Administration cares little about advancing the new technology, but rather supports anything that will restrict or remove the right to bear arms. Remember, the Constitution allows for absolutely no restriction of arms for the people. Any law that restricts the sale or purchase of weapons to Americans by our government is unlawful. Therefore, anyone who shows up at this conference that has issued orders or has followed orders to disarm Americans should be arrested because they are criminals.
