Republicans who vow to defy court rulings are waging a war on democracy while Democrats who threaten to defy court rulings are being heroic.
“Today, a woefully misguided majority of the United States Supreme Court has decided that businesses open to the public may, in certain circumstances, discriminate against LGBTQ+ Americans. While my office is still reviewing the decision to determine its effects, I agree with Justice Sotomayor – the idea that the Constitution gives businesses the right to discriminate is “profoundly wrong.”
“Despite today’s ruling, Arizona law prohibits discrimination in places of public accommodation, including discrimination because of sexual orientation and gender identity,” Kris Mayes, Arizona Attorney General, warned.

Mayes is entitled to disagree with a Supreme Court, she is not however entitled to ignore or defy that decision. And her language is strongly suggestive of the idea that she wants to defy the decision.
And that’s illegal.

The Supreme Court has sent some very clear messages that freedom of religion cannot take a backseat to anything.
Mayes is suggesting that she’ll force single-sex female spaces to open up to men in dresses and that she’ll keep harassing religious people who don’t go along with the agenda.
