All we are saying, is give war a chance.

Trump Shifts Focus to Iran
Truth Social: Iran must immediately stop their highly paid PROXIES in Lebanon from causing trouble. If they don’t, we’ll hit Iran very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP

President Trump warned the U.S. could strike Iran over its support for Hezbollah, as fighting between the militant group and Israel threatened to upend the preliminary peace deal he signed last week and close the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
Trump’s comments on social media came as Vice President JD Vance was in Switzerland for talks with Iran that had been diverted to focusing on last week’s flare-up in Lebanon instead of the discussion on Iran’s nuclear program that the administration had wanted.
Last week, Trump and Vance aired the administration’s frustration with Israel after what they called a heavy-handed retaliatory strike nearly derailed their deal with Iran. Israel has argued that it will keep fighting as long as Hezbollah does.
Trump’s new comments Sunday focused on Iran instead.
“Iran must immediately stop their highly paid PROXIES in Lebanon from causing trouble,” Trump said on social media Sunday. “If they don’t, we’ll hit Iran very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder!!!”
Fox News reported that Trump said in an interview that he had spoken with Iranian officials Saturday night and warned them not to close the strait.
“You close it, and you won’t have a country,” Fox said, quoting Trump. “You won’t even make it back to your f—ing country.”
In a sign of the high stakes in Switzerland, Vance is leading the talks for the U.S. with Iran’s chief negotiator, parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who is heading the team from Tehran. The two sides began direct talks at the Alpine resort of Bürgenstock after meeting separately with mediators from Qatar and Pakistan, according to Iran’s state media.
Vance struck an upbeat tone after his initial round of talks with Iran.
“We’ve already made great progress over just the last few hours, and I expect that we will make additional progress in the hours to come,” Vance said in an impromptu press conference at the site of the negotiations, adding that conditions were improving in Lebanon.
If Iran stops what the vice president called destabilizing activities, the U.S. is ready to “turn over a new leaf to transform our relationship with the people of Iran,” Vance said.
Iran’s Ghalibaf was absent from the press conference.
“The Israeli regime continues to violate its commitments,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said earlier Sunday, arguing that the U.S. had been unable or unwilling to rein in its ally. “This issue is the main subject of today’s talks.”
In response to the latest escalation, Iranian security officials on Saturday said they had closed the Strait of Hormuz. The strategic waterway was still shut Sunday, according to Iran’s military-affiliated Fars news agency. The U.S. military said the strait remained open and that it would monitor the situation to make sure it didn’t change. Ship tracker Lloyd’s List said some transits continued, albeit at a limited rate.
The Trump administration has vacillated in its messaging to Israel, criticizing Israel in tough terms last week for what it called excessive use of force but other times supporting its right to address security threats.
President Trump is coming under pressure at home from Iran hawks like Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.).
“As we pursue diplomacy, make it crystal clear that Israel will not have to tolerate being attacked by Iranian proxies who cause parts of Israel to be uninhabitable,” Graham said Friday on social media.
Some Hope Trump Wipes Iran Off the Face of the Earth
Killing Abel: “Trump is being driven by his critics back to bombing… I hope his critics succeed. Iran will no longer be a problem if it is wiped off the face of the earth.”
War – The Final Solution
Mish: The apparent solution here is to wipe everyone off the earth who disagrees with you. Hmm. That would sure end the fighting.
God Supports Wiping Iran Off the Face of the Earth
Killing Abel: Hey Mike, nice to hear from you! God decided war was better than your desire for a one-world government. I will stick with God on this one (and everything). Babel was the only way out so, God made war/conflict over what you call “mongering”. Thinking is not that painful, give it a try!
Note the amazing irony of Abel’s comment regarding “desire for a one-world government.”
Wiping everyone off the face of the earth who disagrees with you would lead to one of two extremes. The first is a one-world government led by Trump or someone like Abel.
The second is no one lives at all. But hey ….
Give War a Chance
I have the perfect musical tribute. We just have to change one word.
“All we are saying is give war a chance”
Historical Notes
John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s iconic anti-war anthem “Give Peace a Chance” was recorded and released in 1969. It was written during their famous Bed-In for Peace at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, Canada.
The song was officially released as a single on July 4, 1969, in the UK and on July 7, 1969, in the US. Credited to the Plastic Ono Band, it was the first solo single released by Lennon while he was still a member of the Beatles.
We Failed
You have to admit, “Give War a Chance” has a great ring to it.
Clearly we failed. I blame John Lennon because he had the message backwards.
We forgot to wipe Vietnam off the face of the earth. Think how much better off we would all be if only that had happened.
Fortunately, we have a second chance to prove this brilliant theory.
Given Trump has been threatening both Israel and Iran, the solution is obvious. We need to wipe both Iran and Israel off the face of the earth (and anyone who disagrees).
That would include me. But that’s OK because wiping everyone off the earth who disagrees would surely lead to world peace.
Meanwhile, Vance cites progress. That’s ridiculous.
How can there possibly be progress without a sincere effort to wipe Israel and Iran off the face of the earth?
Getting rid of both countries would end the war instantly, giving Trump his coveted Nobel Peace Prize.
