Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark is refusing to prosecute a city correction officer who has been accused of raping a teenager with which he was acquainted, according to authorities.
Clark decided not to prosecute 27-year-old Christopher Sierra, claiming that they had determined that there was insufficient evidence to prove he “committed the crime charged beyond a reasonable doubt.”
Sierra was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly attacking a 19-year-old Bronx woman inside an apartment in the Bronx, according to police.

The woman claimed the Sierra raped and sexually assaulted her despite her telling him “No” and attempting to push him away.
Police arrested Sierra and charged him with rape and a criminal sex act, according to authorities.
The New York Post reported that Sierra was initially suspended from his job after the arrest, but a Department of Corrections spokesperson said that was lifted after the DA decided not to prosecute him.
According to a spokesperson, Sierra started with the DOC in June 2016 and is assigned to Rikers Island’s Anna M. Kross Center.
Apparently, we don’t have anything but the woman’s word here or perhaps there is evidence that is being withheld.
I’m not sure, but rape usually leaves evidence.
It looks like the woman may have made a claim and provided no evidence of the rape, unless we aren’t getting the whole story from the DA and the local media in New York.
