Biden Admin Turns the Illegal Alien Pipeline Back On
The Biden administration is, very predictably, shutting down the centerpiece of President Trump’s border security policy.
The Biden administration said on Saturday it was immediately suspending Trump-era asylum agreements with El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, part of a bid to undo his Republican predecessor’s hardline immigration policies.
In a statement, State Department Secretary Antony Blinken said the United States had “suspended and initiated the process to terminate the Asylum Cooperative Agreements with the Governments of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras as the first concrete steps on the path to greater partnership and collaboration in the region laid out by President Biden.”
Nothing says partnership like shutting down a partnership.
The “hardline” policy here was requiring illegal alien migrants to apply to the countries they reached even while they claimed to be fleeing their home countries, instead of rushing to America to demand to be let in as refugees.
There was no reason to dismantle these agreements which helped stem the flow of illegal aliens to America except a desire to have them come here.
And then, once they arrive, the Biden administration can claim that it’s overwhelmed by this situation that is entirely out of its control, and then claim that the solution is more foreign aid and raising the cost of electricity and gas to change the climate.
Border security is all but gone. And now the Biden administration is eliminating all the procedural obstacles to a mass flood of illegal aliens one by one.
And then Biden will claim, with a straight face that he doesn’t want a mass flood of illegals showing up to flip Texas for the Democrats.
