FBI Admits Using Multiple ‘Confidential Human Sources’ To Spy On Trump Campaign

In an FBI filing on Friday, submitted by David M. Hardy, the head of the FBI’s Record/Information Dissemination Section (RIDS), in response to a Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) request, the FBI admitted to using multiple confidential human sources (CHSs) to spy on the Trump Campaign. You may be thinking that we already know this. We do. The significance of this filing is that the FBI is acknowledging this information publicly for the first time.

The filing also states that, in addition to Christopher Steele, the author of the unverified dossier, and Stefan Halper, the London professor who targeted and met with Trump associates, that other sources were used. The document, however, failed to provide any new names.

The FBI also disclosed that they paid their sources for information. According to the filing, “the FBI protected specific information about payments to CHSs on two pages of each FISA application.” If this information was revealed, it might “suggest the relative volume of information provided by a particular CHS. That disclosure could potentially tip the source’s targets off and allow them to take countermeasures, destroy or fabricate evidence, or otherwise act in a way to thwart the FBI’s activities.”

It was said, “Halper received over $1 million in contracts from the Pentagon during the Obama years, however nearly half of that coincided with the 2016 US election.” If I recall correctly, Halper was paid approximately $430,000 for his “work” with the Trump campaign.

Interestingly, Halper was found to have a significant connection to Alexander Downer, the Australian diplomat with whom George Papadoupolos met in a London bar in May 2016. Over drinks, Papadopoulos told Downer that the Russians had dirt on Hillary Clinton. When the FBI received this information, they immediately opened their counterintelligence investigation into Trump’s possible collusion with the Russians otherwise known as Operation Crossfire Hurricane. The next day, former FBI official Peter Strzok and several other FBI agents flew to London to meet with Downer.

Halper and Downer are both connected to:

UK-based Haklyut & Co., an opposition research and intelligence firm similar to Fusion GPS – founded by three former British intelligence operatives in 1995, to provide the kind of otherwise inaccessible research for which select governments and Fortune 500 corporations pay huge sums

Downer – a good friend of the Clintons, has been on their advisory board or a decade, while Halper is connected to Hakluyt through Director of U.S. Operations, Jonathan Clarke, with whom he has co-authored two books.

Downer is not the only Clinton fan in Hakluyt. Federal contribution records show several of the firm’s U.S. representatives made large contributions to two of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign organizations.”

Once again, this is another path that leads us right back to Hillary Clinton. Every aspect of this story leads to either Hillary or her campaign. We know all of this, but the investigation has been protracted because almost every witness called to testify refuses to provide answers.

Recently, Glenn Simpson, founder of Fusion GPS, invoked his rights under the Fifth Amendment. Simpson’s company was hired by the law firm Perkins Coie, which represented the Clinton campaign, to provide opposition research. He even “invoked his First Amendment right to freedom of speech and freedom of association.”

On Friday, Nellie Ohr, wife of Bruce Ohr, once the #4 man at the DOJ, refused to answer questions by invoking the spousal privilege. Nellie Ohr was hired by Simpson to create the dossier that was used as the basis for the application for a FISA warrant to spy on Trump advisor Carter Page. Once the FBI terminated Christopher Steele for leaking information about the dossier to the press, Nellie Ohr enlisted her husband to act as a liaison to provide the FBI with new information from Steele. Ohr has been demoted twice by the DOJ as a result of his involvement with the dossier. Neither he nor his wife has been forthcoming.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has been uncooperative as well. He has avoided several requests for his testimony recently, but is expected to appear this Wednesday before a closed hearing of Congress.

So far, only former FBI lawyer Lisa Page who admitted that the FBI had insufficient information to initiate an investigation against Trump in July 2016 and James Baker, the former top FBI lawyer, who testified that Rod Rosenstein was not joking when he suggested wearing a wire to obtain evidence for invoking the 25th amendment against Trump. He also detailed, “how the Russia probe was handled in an ‘abnormal fashion’ reflecting “political bias.”

Ultimately, no matter which party wins control of the House, the details of the deep state’s efforts to frame President Trump for colluding with the Russian government to win the election will be revealed. At this point, too much information is already known for this investigation to be abandoned. Sooner or later, the whole puzzle will be solved. The Democrats are just trying to make sure that it’s later.
