House Intel Committee: “We Found no Evidence of Collusion, Coordination, or Conspiracy between the Trump Campaign and the Russians”

Well, it’s official.  After spending more than a year and millions of American taxpayers’ money, the House Intelligence Committee has declared that there is no evidence of collusion, coordination or conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russians.

Rep. Mike Conaway (R-TX), who led the probe, announced on Monday that a 150-page draft report with findings had been completed.

“We have found no evidence of collusion, coordination, or conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russians,” a statement by the committee read.

Conway appeared on Fox News to discuss the outcome.

“We didn’t find any evidence of collusion and I don’t think [Mueller] will either,” Conaway said on “Special Report.”

Fox News reports:

The committee’s investigation was based on four topics: Russian active measures against the 2016 U.S. election, the U.S. government’s response to the attack, links between Russians and the Trump and Clinton campaigns, and purported leaks of classified information.

“We believe we’ve got the information necessary to answer those for the American people,” Conaway said.

The report also noted that based on its investigation which lasted more than a year, the committee disagreed with the intelligence community’s assessment that Russian President Vladimir Putin had a “supposed preference” for then-candidate Donald Trump.

“We disagree with the Intelligence Community’s position that Putin favored Trump,” Conaway told Fox News. He said he had “no contact” with the White House during the probe.

The draft report still has to be approved by Democrats on the committee, including Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA).  Once that is done, the process can begin to declassify the document and make it available to the public.

“The report’s completion will signify the closure of one chapter in the Committee’s robust oversight of the threat posed by Moscow—which began well before the investigation and will continue thereafter,” Conaway said.

Does anyone really think that’s going to go that smoothly for someone like Schiff who has been pushing the Russian collusion narrative just as much as other Democrats like Maxine Waters?  I don’t think so.  In fact, we can expect them to make a stink about the entire report.

Some Hillary Clinton zombies took issue with the findings of the committee.

Evan McMullin tweeted, “House Republicans failing to perform an honest investigation into Russia’s interference for President Trump marks a low point for Congress and political leadership in America. These congressmen are willing to protect their party and Trump at the expense of our sovereignty.”

Kaivan Shroff, who claims to be a digital organizer for Hillary Clinton tweeted the debunked lie that Clinton uttered during her campaign, “The Russia investigation is aimed at protecting the integrity of electoral process — the pillar of free & fair democracy. 17 separate U.S. Intelligence agencies concluded Russia interfered to help Trump. Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee are betraying our country.”

Keep in mind this is the same guy that tweeted this utter nonsense back in December 2017.

Does he even live in the US?  Did he not pay attention over the last 8 years when the usurper was in the White House?  I guess not or he lies to himself a lot.  I thought I would take a moment to remind him.

Tyler Durden adds,

“The draft report included 40 other findings, including how Russians used social media to “sow discord” in 2015 and 2016, a “lackluster” pre-election response to Russian measures, how “anti-Trump research” made its way from Russian sources to the Clinton campaign, and “problematic contacts between senior Intelligence Community officials and the media.”

“After more than a year, the Committee has finished its Russia investigation and will now work on completing our report,” House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) said in a statement Monday. “I’d like to thank Congressmen Trey Gowdy, Tom Rooney, and especially Mike Conaway for the excellent job they’ve done leading this investigation. I’d also like to recognize the hard work undertaken by our other Committee members as well as our staff. Once the Committee’s final report is issued, we hope our findings and recommendations will be useful for improving security and integrity for the 2018 midterm elections.”

All I have to say is if they have found no collusion in over a year, there isn’t any, at least not from the Trump campaign.  Now, Hillary and Barry might be a different story.
