Is Julian Assange Still Alive?

Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks and author of The Wikileaks Files: The World According to US Empire, still doesn’t have web access since his internet was cut off at the Ecuadoran Embassy on October 17th shortly after a visit by US Secretary of State John Kerry.

The US denies that Kerry had anything to do with the termination of Assange’s internet. At the time, I wrote:

Although it has been denied, Wikileaks tweeted that John Kerry asked the Ecuador government to switch off the internet in order to prevent any more damning evidence of why Hillary Clinton should not become president…

Ecuador said that the internet connection that Assange uses has been “temporarily disconnected” because the Wikileaks dumps were having a major effect on the upcoming presidential election. (source)

Which was kind of the point.

On the same day, a “data dump” of encrypted files that Wikileaks referred to as a “contingency plan” gave birth to the fear that something had happened to Assange. Then, a couple of days after Assange lost access to the internet, Wikileaks tweeted that the Embassy had been surrounded by “heavily armed police” but that Assange was still alive.

Russia Today conducted one interview with Assange since all of this went down, but according to some skeptics, it was so heavily edited that it did not constitute proof of life.

Then there was this very unsettling (but unvetted) Reddit thread that says that Assange is NOT safe and that Wikileaks is NOT in control of their account. Again, let me emphasize that this has not been vetted.

The idea that Assange might have been assassinated isn’t so farfetched. While many people believe he is a hero who kept the incredibly corrupt Clinton family from returning to the White House, many people who are scared silly of him in positions of power believe otherwise.

Bob Beckel,  a strategist for the Democratic National Party and author of a book called (I couldn’t make this up) I Should Be Dead, suggested that someone should “illegally shoot the SOB” and Hillary Clinton apparently *joked* to advisors, “Can’t we just drone this guy?”

In the thought-provoking video below, Milo Yiannopoulos asks the question that has us all concerned: “Now that the U.S. election is over and the controversy surrounding Hillary Clinton has died down, Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange is nowhere to be seen or heard. Is he even alive?”
