The law protects not only passengers aboard airplanes but also employees from businesses that demand they wear a mask in order to keep their job or fly the friendly skies, which don’t seem to friendly these days.  Now, it’s being reported that Delta Airlines he placed nearly 250 people on a “no-fly list” because they refused to comply with their fascist, unlawful, mandatory mask policy.

LOS ANGELES – Delta Air Lines has placed more than 240 people on a “no fly list” for failing to comply with its mandatory mask policy, CEO Ed Bastian said in a memorandum to employees on Thursday.

“Although rare, we continue to put passengers who refuse to follow the required face-covering rules on our no-fly list,” Bastian said in the memo, which highlighted the airline’s new hub facility in Salt Lake City.

There is currently no federal mandate on masks in airports or on airplanes, forcing each airline to implement its own regulations.

Delta customers and employees are required to wear a face mask or appropriate cloth face covering over their nose and mouth throughout their travel, aligning with best practice guidelines form the CDC, according to the company’s website.

“As we all work toward the recovery, it’s vital that we continue to stay focused on the drive to provide the safest, cleanest airports, aircraft and workspaces possible,” Bastian said.

Face coverings are required across all Delta touchpoints, including the lobby check-in, Delta Sky Clubs, boarding gate areas, jet bridges, and onboard the aircraft, with the exemption of limited time while eating and drinking.

Passengers on major U.S. airlines are required to check a box that confirms they will follow the airline’s mask rules, and airline gate agents can deny boarding to anyone not wearing a mask prior to a flight, Reuters reported.

Now, all of this is against the law for those who have a religious exemption, as well as a health exemption.

As we heard from Technocracy.News’ Patrick Wood, the law is clearly not on the side of Delta Airlines, but the people they are oppressing as a corporation.

In an email from Patrick Wood of Citizens For Free Speech, he writes, “At CFFS, we believe that political mandates for wearing facemasks are an egregious violation of the First Amendment as well as potentially harmful to individual health.”

Wood elaborates:

Wearing a face mask has become a national symbol of fear and submission to government authorities. Simply not wearing a mask does not become a symbol of resistance, but proactively wearing the “No Mask” card is such an anti-symbol. 

Our cards are showing up all across America and they are already gaining a widespread visual recognition in many communities. In other words, it is becoming the symbol of personal choice and resistance to medical tyranny.

We believe that every citizen should be responsible for their own health and make their own choices as to how to best accomplish that.

He also says that he wears his card, which points to the law so that tyrants, no matter who they are, will know that they are engaging in lawlessness by requiring a mask anywhere.

“I have not worn a facemask since the lockdowns and mandates started,” writes Wood.  “When challenged, I am respectful and calm. Many other people are reporting successes as well.”

“However, it’s more than just about you and your health,” Wood adds.  “By wearing the ‘No Mask’ card you are making a public statement that you will not comply with draconian, unconstitutional and in many cases, lawless mandates commanding you to wear one.”

He then encourages people to “use it as a conversation starter.”

“The First Amendment is printed on the reverse side, and when you read it to some people, it may be the first time in their life that they ever heard it,” he concluded.

Aaron Kesel adds:

In early August, Delta made headlines after a plane headed to Atlanta circled back to its gate in Detroit, delaying takeoff. The crew was returning to discard two passengers who had been unwilling to wear masks.

It’s not just Delta. All major U.S. airlines now require passengers to wear masks. With the exception of children under age 2, and slightly older children who cannot maintain a face-covering, no one is exempt on Delta and other airlines according to NPR.

Although, a story just last week argues with that premise. A Brooklyn mother was kicked off a JetBlue flight traveling from Orlando to New York, along with her children, after her two year old refused to wear a mask.

Videos of the mother, Chaya Bruck, speaking with a flight attendant before the plane took off has gone viral on social media.

In the video posted on social media, Bruck is talking to a flight attendant about her daughter not wearing a mask. “You realize she’s 2?” Bruck says.

“I do, and also, it’s not something we can excuse,” the flight attendant responds in the video.

Videos of the situation show her fellow passengers coming to Bruck’s defense, saying the 2 year old should be excused for not keeping the mask on. Bruck and her kids were still removed though. The video is below courtesy of CBS Good Morning America.

As Reuters reports, airline gate agents can deny boarding to anyone not wearing a mask before the flight. But on the plane, there is little that flight attendants can do to ensure compliance other than threatening to put passengers on a list that would ban them from future travel. It’s important to note that there’s a common misconception about the no-fly list maintained by airlines. It’s not the federal no-fly list maintained by the FBI according to Trent Duffy, spokesman for the Terrorist Screening Center, who told NBC News in 2010 that there’s confusion around the two lists.

The law is not being upheld and it’s our job to make sure these companies get the message by our non-compliance and lawsuits, if need be.
