You would think Qatar is somehow the Senate foreign policy priority, as opposed to destroying ISIS or checking China.

The “bipartisan” Senate resolution by Lindsey Graham, Marco Rubio, Todd Young, Dianne Feinstein, Ed Markey, and Chris Coons not only expresses opposition to the campaign against Iran (without ever mentioning Iran), but also backs Qatar, coming out against the boycott of the terror state which backs the Muslim Brotherhood, and multiple Islamic terror groups.

Qatar is arguably the preeminent sponsor of terror in the world today.

The tiny Persian Gulf nation of Qatar – one of the wealthiest countries in the world on a per capita basis, thanks to enormous oil and natural gas reserves – has become one of the most harmful influences in the Middle East and a key supporter of terrorist groups.

Without question, Al Jazeera should register under FARA.  The question is why has it taken five years for it to be brought forward when most Americans could tell you what Al Jazeera promoted.  After all, the news organization could continually find Osama Bin Laden when the best US intelligence could not.

Nations that support jihad terror are no friends of the United States, whatever short-term benefits they may provide, and they need to be put on notice.
