President Obama Blames Climate Change (not Hillary) for War in Syria!
Over the years most Republicans have gotten used to the leftist cry that we on the right are either “crazy” or “stupid.” We’ve come to realize that their ad hominem attacks have less to do with us and more to do with their inability to defend their ideas with facts. I’ve often felt compelled to use the mean-spirited attacks in my own arguments with deluded leftists, but I’ve refrained because, of course, I do have facts and evidence to support my arguments.
Sadly, I think the left has finally reached a point where my fact-filled arguments are no longer useful, and I may finally have to turn to name-calling and mocking laughter to deal with the Democrat Party.
During a discussion about climate change with Hollywood actor (and non-scientist) Leonardo DiCaprio, President Obama informed the world that the true villain in Syria wasn’t Bashar Assad, or Hillary Clinton, or Vladimir Putin, or even Donald Trump (who Clinton and Obama have blamed for Muslim terrorism in recent months)… no, the real villain in the Syrian Civil War is – Climate Change.
How are we supposed to answer this assertion? The very idea is so far out of reality that to respond with facts, figures, or science would be to cast pearls before swine. The reason that Syria descended into Civil War is because the Obama administration helped to destabilize many of the governments in the Middle East and North Africa. Then the Obama team pulled all of our soldiers out of Iraq, leaving the Northern portion of the nation at risk. Then the Obama administration armed the Muslim rebels who were fighting the Asssad regime. Then the administration pulled back and the rebels were forced to find allies where they could (hello Al Qaeda and ISIS), and once the Assad regime was forced to retreat back to Damascus… ISIS stepped in and filled the power void.
So, the truth is that President Obama is either insane, deluded, stupid, or evil – because his argument here is completely devoid of facts and utterly bankrupt when it comes to truth. Again, the only recourse we have is to call them names.
“There’s already some really interesting work — not definitive but powerful — showing that the droughts that happened in Syria contributed to the unrest and the Syrian civil war. Well, if you start magnifying that across a lot of states, a lot of nation states that already contain a lot of poor people who are just right at the margins of survival, this becomes a national security issue. And, that’s why even as we have members of Congress who scoff at climate change at the same time as they are saluting and wearing flag pins and extolling their patriotism they’re not paying attention to our Joints Chief of Staff and the Pentagon who are saying this is one of the most significant national security threats that we face over the next fifty years.”
