Rome vs. America: The Country That Will Learn From The History From Which It Failed To Learn
“In history, a great volume is unrolled for our instruction, drawing the materials of future wisdom from the past errors and infirmities of mankind.” – Edmund Burke
How obvious as to how easily life may be lived out if men were only to take heed the Word of God, which as we all know, addresses every issue known to mankind.
The Word of God teaches the avoidance of evil through its instruction, reproof, and correction; and teaches us what road we are to stay on in the process (Matthew 7:13; 2 Timothy 3:16). Yet, men refuse and, in the end, eat the fruit of their ways (Proverbs 1:31).
“Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.” -Proverbs 13:13
Noah Webster warned that “All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible.”

So, there it is, men suffer from their despising the precepts contained in the Bible.
Rome is a prime example of just this lesson that I lay to your honesty.
What happened in Rome to take it down?
In Rome, over half the people were living on the dole (government assistance). In other words, over half of Rome was on welfare. Americans, this is unconstitutional (2 Thessalonians 3:10; 1 Timothy 5:8). It’s stealing from those who work to give to those who do not work!
Rome began an open border policy with the Germanic tribes. They then began pouring in and taking over the land and jobs that were available, eventually bankrupting the Roman financial system. Read Deuteronomy 28:43).
Rome built coliseums to distract the people. They didn’t want the people to see what they were doing. They didn’t want them to see what was going on. So, they built bigger and bigger and bigger arenas and coliseums. Read Jeremiah 12:13.
They began to spread immorality (If they can demoralize you, they can control you), including the widespread acceptance of sodomy (Advocating what the Lord condemns – Leviticus 18:22-20:13).
Rome also promoted the acceptance of all gods and all religions except for Christianity. This, of course, promotes civil disobedience, domestic insurrection, and, in the end, war within the gates (Judges 5:8).
Outside, evil forces (foreign-treasonous; Luke 22:48) drive for this so the people are then easily overthrown (Mark 3:25). The people do this to themselves when the commandments and judgments (statues) of the Lord are rejected (Deuteronomy 28:63).
America is on the same course as the Roman Empire was before its self-inflicted destruction.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of what is being tolerated by over 337 million people in this country, which only exhibits the power and majesty of the Lord that will NOT tolerate the sins that men do. When will the people learn?
