Texas Students Rally Behind Ten Commandments
For years, the atheist organization, Freedom From Religion Federation has used intimidation and legal threatening to bully schools systems and their respective governing bodies into silence concerning religion. The most common argument has been that these respective displays are a breach of the Separation Clause.
I have argued several times that this was not true, but they continue to show their ignorance of the law and the Constitution. And once again, we see them trying to bully a high school in West Texas.

A hallway mural of the Ten Commandments and a painted Bible verse came under fire by Wisconsin atheist group Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), which sent a letter demanding a west Texas school district cover it or risk a lawsuit.
O’Donnell High School painted the Ten Commandments and a line of Old Testament scripture on the wall of a recently-built common area of the building. When students came to school Thursday, both were covered up, the Ten Commandments shrouded beneath the American flag, KCBD reported.
Just as it seemed that the organization was on the verge of another victory, many have come out to support the mural and the Ten Commandments. Students, of their own desire to see the Ten Commandments remain, have spoken out and are encouraging the school superintendent to stand against the bullies.

Frustrated O’Donnell High School students galvanized behind the Ten Commandments. Many, like junior Katye Gruben, posed in front of the mural and posted these selfies on Facebook: “Be on your guard, stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13″ followed by “Standing up for our beliefs. #SaveTheConstitution #OHS.”
The mural has also received support from State Senator Charles Perry. Senator Perry has stated that they would have his office’s full support and was seeking to get Superintendent Dr. Cathy Amonett in contact with the right people to advise her as to what she and the school can and should do about the threats.
