“Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.” -Deuteronomy 1:39

One thing that I always knew was to get to the younger generation, for wisdom is justified by her children (Luke 7:35). After all, it was what our forefathers did (Proverbs 22:6).

“Hence bad Examples to Youth are more rare in America, which must be a comfortable Consideration to Parents. To this may be truly added, that serious Religion under its various Denominations, is not only tolerated but respected and practised.” -Benjamin Franklin

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. -Preamble U.S. Constitution

It was what the great awakening preachers, who preached in the days of our founding era, did (Luke 22:47).

It is what we have done throughout the nation (Matthew 4:19).

But it is not what the generation of the tolerant have done in the present because they have done nothing but drop their young off at the school gate to be raised up by their sworn enemies, not understanding the price paid by their predecessors to ensure a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

“Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slave.” -D.H. Lawrence

Though it is a dim prognostication, it is tangible reality, no doubt; one which we all want to avoid.

In Deuteronomy 1:26 we see that the older generation was rebellious towards the Lord and would not obey. Yet, the Lord said in response:

“But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it. Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it. But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.” -Deuteronomy 1:38-40

I believe it is exactly what we are seeing today, that is if they are willing to fight and more than not, they are willing to fight (1 Timothy 6:12).

As we are seeing, it is the younger generation taking a stand against tyranny whereas their parents are missing when it comes to the action.
