In August, the Biden administration chose to raid Mar-a-Lago in search of classified documents.
Since Trump wasn’t on the ticket, the timing was not geared to a pre-election surprise, but another slow-burning scandal that the Democrats could capitalize on in the pre-election months.
Democrats monetized it against Republican opponents.

On November 2nd, the perfect timing for a pre-election surprise, classified documents were found at the Penn Biden Center. We learned about them not only well after the election, but long after Garland’s announcement of a special counsel targeting Trump, and well before a 2024 presidential season.
If you were going to pick a good time to do this, the doldrums of January 2023 is as good as it gets.
Republicans will talk about Biden, Democrats and their media will talk about George Santos. The stuff will get cleared out of the way in time for the primary season.
Politician parties like to time things just right, but the key timing element here comes from the federal government and its investigating organs. Some of that can be blamed of Attorney General Garland, but far from all of it. The DOJ has become a key element in ‘October surprises’ and the timing of political attacks.
That is part of the much bigger problem that started out as Russiagate and has become a full-spectrum politicization of the DOJ and the FBI.
