Time to Preach Boldly
It was said of John Knox that “His preaching style was unyielding and at times harsh. His language could be rather violent. …He preached with power; He strikes at the root.” He was Scotland’s “trumpet blast!”
The Prince of Preachers Charles Spurgeon said, “We are not to preach calmly and quietly as though we were asleep, we are to preach with fire and pathos and passion.”
He went on, “It is treason against the King of Kings to tone down the Word of the Lord.”
Preachers are to aim at cutting deep and those who do not, are not worth their salt. God never sends a man that does not trouble consciences (Hosea 10:12).

Furthermore, William Booth stated, “If you want to change the future, you are going to have to trouble the present.”
How do you trouble the present? Preach the Word of God and you will find out soon enough.
Famous field preacher John Wesley said of himself, “I set myself on fire and people come to watch me burn.”
John understood those who bring the fire must endure the flames (Hebrews 1:7). In contrast, the modern-day pulpit occupiers understand this not. We are to be witnesses of the resurrection (Acts 1:22), and this by the Holy Ghost, who bears witness to His truth (1 John 5:7).
Yet, we find that the occupiers of the pulpits and pews across America are simply dead in their sins (1 Corinthians 15:15-17).
George Whitefield comes to my aid when he said, “We can preach the Gospel of Christ no further than we have experienced the power of it in our own lives.”
