The heartbreaking tragedies devastating California have been playing out in our living rooms for going on weeks now. I have questions though — as I usually do.

I’ll begin with Governor Gavin Newsome with his camera-ready smile and dancing body gyrations as his state looks like an apocalyptic Steven Spielberg movie.

A Sky News crew captured the moment that Palisades resident Rachel Darvish recently confronted Governor Newsom in the street. She questioned him about what he was doing to tackle the major wildfires in Palisades, believed to be the most destructive in L.A. history. Newsome held up his cell phone and tried to convince Darvish that he was speaking with Joe Biden but was caught in a lie since there was no cell service.

Since Newsome’s biggest financial benefactor is the notorious George Soros to the tune of over $1 million and voters are now seeing the true colors of lack of leadership, I encourage Rachel Darvish to run for public office to bring sanity back to a once beautiful state and rid residents of politicians profiting financially while their lives are destroyed.

I’ll move on to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. The same Karen Bass with ties to the communist party, Cuba and George Soros. The same George Soros who has vowed to destroy the U.S and was recently awarded the Medal of Freedom by the delusional leader of our great country. The same Karen Bass who Fox News has referred to as an “avowed communist.”

Bass slashed the L.A. Fire Department budget by $17 million in their recent budget. Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) were the priority rather than saving lives and property in the event of fires.

Bass returned from Africa as the fires were raging in L.A. and stood blankly staring into media cameras refusing to answer questions from reporters about her absence and her budget cuts to the fire department.

Then there is Janisse Quiñones, Los Angeles water chief earning $750,000 a year and under fire for her mismanagement in draining the Santa Ynez Reservoir during a severe water deficit. She was allegedly aware of faulty fire hydrants and an empty reservoir months before the devastating wildfires.

In February 2023, Mayor Bass appointed longtime public servant Brian Williams to serve as her deputy mayor, giving him significant public safety responsibility in his role, including overseeing the fire department.

Williams was recently placed on administrative leave when the FBI raided his home after he allegedly made a bomb threat against city hall less than three weeks before the wildfires broke out. Can’t make this stuff up.

We all remember the assassination attempt on our future POTUS in Butler, PA when DEI was played out in living color. Two secret service agents flying around a car to house the wounded future POTUS. One confused and the other not being properly trained in holstering her firearm.

Anyone else curious as to whether Bass, Crowley and Newsome had their homes destroyed by the “DEI firestorm”? The silence is deafening.

Why have we allowed DEI to suck us into quicksand.  Are eyes “wide shut” as to the numbers of governors, senators, congressmen/women, Attorneys General, mayors and professionals of every ethnic group, gender and race in our country? We have long come out of the 1950s era.

Why aren’t we defining DEI as “determination, effort and integrity” — bringing us out of woke and into Back to the Future of hard work, honesty and normalcy once again.

Our generations to come deserve no less.
