It is not a surprise that our elites do know what Thanksgiving is all about.

After all, most if not all are agnostic at best. If they believe in a god at all, he would be closer to the Deist grandfather god who does not intervene rather than the one who we read about in the Scriptures.

But, it is absolutely backward to speak of giving thanks for something that is destroying our country. That is exactly what President Obama did yesterday.

President Barack Obama pardoned a turkey Wednesday afternoon, wishing all Americans a Happy Thanksgiving.

He also listed a number of things the people had to be thankful for, including Obamacare.

“Our uninsured rate is an all-time low thanks to the 20 million more Americans, including millions of children, who finally know the security of health insurance,” he said. “That’s worth gobbling about.”

I could understand if the healthcare law that Obama and the Democrats shoved down our throats had had nominal success. Then, I would not be surprised that the President wished to boast a little.  However, the catastrophic failure that is Obamacare is nothing for which to be thankful.

As I reported, there is a massive increase in premiums coming in the next year and more and more companies are opting out of the exchange. They cannot remain competitive in the market ran and maintained by governmental control.

This will soon cause the healthcare system in America to be a single payer system. A system in which the government will be your insurance provider and taxes will be your premiums. It sounds good until you remember that all such systems have low care standards and high mortality rates.

Only the socialist of our country would be thankful for such a broken system.
