Some of my favorite videos are the emotion filled ones of soldiers returning home to loved ones. Today, I thought I would share a very special one with you. It’s from a twenty-something-year-old soldier who surprised his dad on his 50th birthday.
I’m not privy to the soldier’s name and it isn’t listed in the video description. I don’t even know his father’s name.
However, as the man is enjoying a 50th birthday celebration, a video is played of his son, who was serving overseas. His son mentions that at about this time his dad is probably getting a little “teary eyed.” He encourages his dad to “Suck it up princess,” and begins to conclude his video message.

Immediately, the son enters the room as dad is left speechless and obviously emotionally moved.
The two embrace and the reunion begins.
While I am one who has been openly against unconstitutional wars that the US has been engaged in, no matter what president has been in office, I always rejoice and am moved by seeing the reunion of soldiers with their families.
Welcome home soldier!
