It has to be very hard to think like a leftist.  There are so many rules that one has to follow and so many paradigms that have to be upheld.  Simple straight forward logic will not work if you are a leftist.

One splendid example of this is the rape of a German woman by migrants.  Two different and opposing issues occurred.

The Breitbart reports:

A left-wing German politician has admitted she lied to police about the nationality of three men who raped her in case it triggered racism against migrants in her country.

Selin Gören, who is a spokeswoman for the left-wing youth movement Solid, was attacked in the city of Mannheim in January while working as a refugee activist. She was ambushed in a play area late at night and forced to perform a sex act on her attackers.

Now, this woman was in Mannheim for the very purpose of helping these people.  She saw them as victims and individuals in need of her assistance.  Instead of helping them find freedom, she became a victim herself.

The problem that she had to reconcile in her mind was the idea that all Muslims are victims.  The Daily Caller hit this dead on the nose.  Selin’s reasoning for not telling the truth was that she was victimized by victims.  It could not be their fault; they were victims.  But rape is wrong.  So what was she to do.

Breitbart continued:

She told the latest edition of Germany’s Spiegel magazine that, after the reaction to the Cologne sex attacks, she did not want to create “more hatred against migrants in Germany”.

She also wrote an open letter to a fictional migrant on Facebook, saying: “I am really sorry that your sexist and line-crossing treatment of me could help fuel aggressive racism.

What this confused lady fails to realize is that she is as guilty of racism as anyone else when it comes to the migrant.  If she saw these people as equals, then she would demand justice.  But since she looks down on them (in pity) as someone that needs her and people like her, they are not her equals; therefore, they are not guilty.

She is guilty of the very thing that she wants to prevent.  She, even before the unfortunate assault, could never have seen these “victims” as the same as herself.  And she is the worse type of racist, she does not even know.  She has to have someone beneath her to help to keep her self-worth.  She would never say this, but these people would ever be able to rise to her stature.  And they would never know that she looked down on them.
