Fox News reports:
“A unanimous jury has found Ghislaine Maxwell guilty of one of the worst crimes imaginable – facilitating and participating in the sexual abuse of children,” said U.S. Attorney for the Southern District Damian Williams. “Crimes that she committed with her long-time partner and co-conspirator, Jeffrey Epstein. The road to justice has been far too long. But, today, justice has been done.”

He added: “I want to commend the bravery of the girls – now grown women – who stepped out of the shadows and into the courtroom. Their courage and willingness to face their abuser made this case, and today’s result, possible.”
The jury acquitted on a single count, enticement of an individual under the age of 17 to travel with intent to engage in illegal sexual activity.
During six days of deliberations – with a break for Christmas – the jury sent more than a dozen notes and requested the testimony of all four accusers as well as other witnesses. The panel also requested office supplies, including Post-it notes, white paper board and highlighters.
Prosecutors argued that Maxwell acted as the millionaire’s madam, recruiting and training four women between 1994 and 2004 when they were teenagers.
“Ghislaine Maxwell was dangerous,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Alison Moe said in closing statements. “She manipulated her victims and groomed them. She caused deep and lasting harm to young girls. It’s time to hold her accountable.”

NBC added:
Maxwell’s guilty charges include conspiracy to entice a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, conspiracy to transport a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, transporting a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors and sex trafficking of minors.
She was not found guilty of enticing a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, which carried a five year sentence.
Damian Williams, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, said that the jury had found Maxwell guilty “of one of the worst crimes imaginable,” which she had “committed with her long-time partner and co-conspirator, Jeffrey Epstein.”
“The road to justice has been far too long. But, today, justice has been done,” he said. “I want to commend the bravery of the girls — now grown women — who stepped out of the shadows and into the courtroom. Their courage and willingness to face their abuser made this case, and today’s result, possible.”
The jury weighed evidence and testimony from about 30 witnesses over three weeks.
Maxwell, who turned 60 on Christmas Day, has been jailed since her arrest in July 2020. The trial in lower Manhattan grabbed headlines, putting publishing magnate Robert Maxwell’s daughter — once a fixture in New York’s high society — in the spotlight over her relationship with Epstein.

Again, this is not justice. While it is good that she was found guilty, the fact is she committed multiple capital crimes for which you and I will pay to keep her up for however long she is in jail, and so will her victims.
Still, the fact that the Israeli spy/ honeypot ties to Epstein and Maxwell were never addressed, the reality is that Maxwell is nothing more than the fall guy in all of this. Those who were her handlers have gotten away scot free.
